Q.C has gone to hell, much like everything else. I've fired tens of thousands of rounds of 80's and 90's vintage Federal, Remington, CCI, and Winchester. All without a single FTF or FTE.
If common sense was so common, why don't liberals possess any?

I have lots of automatch and mini mags. What's the best match ammo?

      Lapua?
      SK?
      Something else?

I want some good stuff. Point me to where I can get some. I have a couple 10/22s, Advantage arms glocks, ar 22 upper. All semi auto so they need to be semi auto match. I have a single shot bolt action 22 rifle so I suppose I could get some for that too, but it's not a very high quality rifle.

The very best match ammo is the one that is most accurate and reliable in your particular gun---and that's a matter of testing. Lapua and Eley are highly regarded, but your .22 might be more accurate with CCI Green Tag or SK Standard Plus, and even then, optimal accuracy may depend on a particular Lot# ! I've seen Olympic competitors shoot Fiocchi and Federal as well. You feed the gun what it wants, not what advertising hype says what it wants.
BTW Wolf Match is re-badged SK.
Testing ammo is part of the fun----when you find your magic bullet find a supplier who can sell you a case with the same Lot#

What's your price range? It all depends what you guns like whether you get better results from any of these, but the upper range will be more consistent (not necessarily more accurate).

                Low range:
                CCI Standard Velocity = ~$45

                Lower/mid range:
                Wolf Match Target = SK Standard + = Lapua Standard+ = ~$60
                Eley Club = ~$75
Wolf Match Extra = SK Match Rifle = ~$80

                Mid/upper range:
                Lapua CenterX = ~$125
                Lapua Midas + = ~$180
                RWS50, RWS100 = ~$200
                Eley Tenex = ~$225

Darn the luck.. Guess I'm gonna have to buy a little bit of everything and go shooting!

I still have a bunch of old SK Magazine cans I need to test in some rifles.

RWS is the best 22 I have ever shot and if I was in true competitive shoots I would use it. Otherwise CCI Standards are pretty damn awesome for the price and what I use 80% of the time.

After watching WTC Bldg #7 being razed, and considering it's main occupants..

I stumbled onto this note while checking advanced weapons..
"911 = false flag. WTC 7 was brought down by demolition. 47 floors came down in 6 1/2 seconds - not hit by a plane. Just one of hundreds of absurdities that occurred that day. Wake up".

Found a Unicorn today. Went to my local Wally World in Anaheim to look for a couple of items and checked their usually empty ammo case. A young chap asked if I needed help, so I asked if they have any 22lr on hand. He grins, and checks under the register's counter. Pulls out a box of Winchester 555 hollow points for $27.88. Asked for more but no dice so I gladly take it.

Asked him for the secret hand shake in order to obtain some more in the future. He told me, their limit is 3 per person! However, they only get four boxes per load (NOT cases)!!! Told me a couple came in earlier and each bought 3 each. So it's no wonder why it's pretty damn hard to find 22lr at Walmart.

Nope, not within 50 mi of Oakland. Not sure where the closest ammo-carrying one is.
