Not much going on here these days, but I'm able to login daily.
I think a lot of folks just got fed up with it and moved on.

I believe so. Too bad, it was once an interesting spot.
I was for a while active on that “other” site, but have been totally turned off by a number of members, and now have serious doubts about the true intention of it.
This site now works for me only in the morning, which is fine.

I'm still here and checking-in daily.
It seems to be getting a little more reliable the last week or two.
It works almost every day instead of every other day like it was a few weeks ago.
It may also be because I often check-in just after midnight when it seems to reset every day.

                Looks great.
Is it a Marlin that you had convered to a takedown?
                Details, please.

Yeah, 1894c in 357. Remlin, but it shot and functioned well. I'd wanted a takedown for a long time, but I didn't enjoy my win 92 as much (although it was beautiful).

Sent it off to the arms room llc out of Colorado. Started talking to him on November of 23, so it took a minute but the work is beautiful. Will take a bit to break in I suspect. Taking it out shooting for the first time tomorrow.

                    Thanks for the info.
Now you've given me something to think about, it never crossed my mind that it could be done.
The 10mm conversion is cool as well.

They made some nice guns towards the end. My Remlin 94c is every bit as nice as my new Ruger/Marlin 336

                      well done, sir
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

I've owned 3 remlins. Two were perfect out of the box (1895 sbl and this 1894c), one (1894 cst) had feeding issues (they fixed that, had a great warranty process) and the way the forend contacted caused it to have big shifts as the barrel heated up.

My Ruger 1895 was slightly nicer fit and finish out the box, but no better than one of my better remlins.

My two jm's were a 39a and 39m. Both were great.

And my original marlin 1881 had the nicest wood to metal fitment (even after 120+ years).

Took the takedown out this morning, shot great given the limitations and mechanically it's better than it was when I got it. Need a taller front (6" high at 25 yards, same with every xs rail I've ever used), but I'll call them on Monday and get a new one shipped. Overall super happy with the work, the smith did a great job and I happily recommend him; as long as you are both patient and persistent.

                            Same.

I have had far too much trouble even logging in, no matter the browser. Too, the Message Center does not respond.

I like the thread title I see out on the Forum Index, "Fix this site or Shut it down".

                            Come on, man!

Man I'd love a 10mm lever gun, but not for $3k+.

                                ^ ^ ^ There's always .41 Remington Magnum.

If you can find one. Taffin once remarked "Finding a .41 Marlin 1894 is like finding an honest politician!" or words to that effect. 🤣

Now, if I were a real baller like our friend in Tehachapi, Dave, and owned a 1911 chambered in 10mm, then... yes. I'd want a lever so chambered.

Meanwhile, I have no loading bench until my camp trailer's complete. Life gets in the way, like, I just bought a very minute piece of Utah and now find myself travelling to and fro.

                                .
