BBM, that was a score. I'm a tad jealous.

Thanks for noticing the stocks. A good cleaning, a very light sanding, and a few coats of finishing oil to get a satin finish. Popping out the medallions was a delicate affair, but no harm done.

They did come out pretty nice, and certainly a lot better than they were!

On that old Single -Six I picked up - it's a shooter.

          First 6 rounds, off-hand, at 15 yards:

I found myself down in Moreno Valley for the week. Any good shops with C&R stuff around the area I could stop in and impulsively buy stuff I don't need?

You're no too far from me. What ya doing there? Ammo Bros in Ontario is about 25 miles from there.

Next week's a little hot (works for me) but the wind looks a little rough...
It takes a lot of balls to play golf the way I do.

You seem to have a seemingly-better wind forecaster than I. Waiting for a dip in temps and a calm day. Looking forward to any such weather although that particular temps window may be closing for the season.

If necessary, I'll hit Angeles on a weekday morning. It's only 20 miles from my house and not 120 lol.

                        Good evening to all,

It has been a long while since I have been able to check in here. Lots of stuff going on at home and with work. I am glad to see that you guys are still shooting out in the Mojave from time to time.

I will be out there on Sunday. Hopefully it will be a good day for shooting. It looks like I will be good if I get out early in the AM.

                          Holy Toledo! Ohio...

                          He lives!

Very glad to have you checkin' in, Matt. Was wondering where you've been.

Sunday's high near Barstow will be 90* between 2 and 3 PM, starting in the high 60s with 85* forecast by noon.

When the MLC Advisory Board meets near there, I like to arrive just before the sun rises, since I am driving east and like to scan the trail for obstacles. I usually stay 'til just after sunset.

You have your own routine and don't need any suggestions from me, that's for sure. I'm only sharing how I like to get out there.

Oh, and since we've seen you last I have accidentally, pleasantly, discovered the meaning of ECV. Among other things across the southwest, there's a tale of an old miner and a plaque commemorating his labors and his adventures was made by and placed by ECV. Sounds like a great group of souls.

103 in Borrego. Low desert shooting season is over. 85 in the mountains, still open.

I am alive! I am lucky to have a family house in Helendale that lets me shoot early and then retreat to the lake, AC, or heater as the weather dictates. Sometimes I will head out for round II in the evening. I really like the sunsets out there.

The Clampers are good bunch. My chapter is in Bishop and we dedicate plaques in the Owen's Valley. This year's plaque will be dedicated to the Mt. Witney Pack Station.

You could even say they are satisfactory!

                                When's the plaque go up?
