My last SSE was between a VP9 and a G17L.
Got a back in stock email on the VP9 last week and pulled the trigger.
Not 100% sure I made the right choice........ Have always wanted a 17L.
Both of these for me are being picked up as just for fun guns.
Have owned Glocks for over 20 yrs. They are ugly, simple, light and have always worked.
Guess I can always trade the VP9 for an L down the road if I want........ Or find a PPT........

Does anyone else find it humorous that the OP paid top dollar for a Glock and then cheaped out on ammo?

Could you imagine someone coming here and saying they bought a Springfield Pro for $3k+, ran miwall reloaded ammo and complained the $3k gun was the problem?

If a gun is hypersensitive to "limp wristing" or ammo selection, that gun is a long way off from "perfection". My old HiPoint C9 ate everything I put in it regardless of "limp wristing".

One advantage of a HiPoint over the glock, it's a cheep gun that's actually cheep to buy.

ohh, so one does not have to hold a hipoint firmly to get it to shoot reliably? good to know...and here i thought that glock was the standard of reliability. fantastic news that hipoint has now taken over that role, it was about damn time someone took over from glock.

In a few months of you want to sell it , I will give you 700 for it. Not sure why you would think of downgrading to a Glock? Just don't think guys will be paying SSE prices next year. 700 is still over original price.

I only shoot reloads on rental guns, wouldn't even on a borrowed gun.

I don't like Glocks either but my Walther, SW Mps, and XD only get factory ammo... Even the cheapest factory ammo is better than reloads unless you reload em yourself.

Maybe you should go shut your piehole learn more about reloading.

You can shoot reloads in your glocks all day long and twice on sunday, however if you are going to use lead, you should get an aftermarket barrel. Bear Creek and plated bullets work just fine.

If you are going to make creampuff loads, you need to go with a lighter spring and tune the gun to the ammo.

Almost all Glock failures are either attributed to operator error, improperly installed mods, or out of spec ammo.
