I may not know what you know but I have had issues with reloads and stay clear from em in my personal pistols and rifles...

I do plan to reload myself and keep my brass for when I do. Maybe by then I will be able to snatch a pebble from your hand..

so because you bought crap reloads from some guy you met somewhere all reloads are inferior to the cheapest factory ammo? dude, you really need to broaden your horizons. i actually prefer reloads to factory low/mid range ammo. i get better stuff on average than i would if i went with fiocchi, aguila, blazer, pmc and even remington white box.

the reloads i get from freedom munitions rival my favorite budget ammo from magtech and speer as far as reliability and cleanliness goes. you are more than welcome to keep shooting factory ammo but to claim something as crazy as you did in your prior post is just diarrhea of the interwebs.

Sounds like either your grip or the ammo though. So I'd get factory ammo and try again. If you still have issues, get someone who has experience with Glocks to shoot your pistol. If that person has problems it is the gun, if not then it is you.
I do this all the time, it's just an excuse to go back to the range if something comes up! Besides I like to know if my gun can run reloads. This thread is silly though no more posting for me, only posting because someone already bumped it haha.

Here is my story my son and I both purchased new glock 19 gen 4s. First time out ftf jam after jam. Slide would not lock back on the last round at times. I was using reloads, always do never have had a problem in past. Bought new ammo never jammed again. I was very disappointed that my glock would not shoot reloads, glocks are suppose to eat anything. Just for the fun of it I replaced the recoil spring with a tungsten stainless steel from the glock store. I installed it now it shoots any ammo I put in it. Recently went to the range with my friend who purchased a glock 17 gen 4. His glock ran perfect I gave his some of the reloads I was shooting in my glock with the new guide rod. First round jam. It is ammo related. Try replacing the guide rod my 2 cents.

It says in the manual not to use reloads.

People will tell you "my x brand gun has only shot reloads for 30,000 rounds and never had an FTF".

They don't tell you that you're mileage may vary as much as your reloads and your guns tolerances put together.

Glocks are not magic. They are churned out of factories like any other sub $600 dollar mass produced pistol.

MR512, if you want to know more than the guy who claims that cheap, commercially remanufactured ammo is superior to new factory ammo, I recommend that you watch this short video clip: http://youtu.be/QhETObVI10w

Maybe you should go shut your piehole learn more about reloading.

You can shoot reloads in your glocks all day long and twice on sunday, however if you are going to use lead, you should get an aftermarket barrel. Bear Creek and plated bullets work just fine.

If you are going to make creampuff loads, you need to go with a lighter spring and tune the gun to the ammo.

Almost all Glock failures are either attributed to operator error, improperly installed mods, or out of spec ammo.

Ummm, just because someone somewhere in the world uses the term "reload" does not mean they are talking about you or your reloads. Hard to believe I know but trust me it's the truth.

In the context of the posts on this thread the term "reload" was referring to bulk purchase reloads from a reloading company and another posters experience on cost of reloads from a reloading company as opposed to new factory ammo.

If the pistol actually makes it past 200 rounds and I like it, then I'll use whatever is cheapest in it. (Sometimes reload, sometimes factory new bulk, depending on whatever is available at the time.)

I have a few guns that have never fired a single round of factory ammo. I haven't had a single problem with any of them.

The 4 guys I go shooting with weekly don't own a single Glock out of a pool of 100+ guns. That's right, not a single Glock. We got XDs, M&Ps, Colt Snakes, CZs, 1911s, Sigs, Sphinxes, Walthers, HKs but not one Glock. I guess you either own a lot of Glocks or no Glocks
U guys are missing out. all those glock clones but none of the original.
