I don't like Glocks either but my Walther, SW Mps, and XD only get factory ammo... Even the cheapest factory ammo is better than reloads unless you reload em yourself.

You can shoot reloads in your glocks all day long and twice on sunday, however if you are going to use lead, you should get an aftermarket barrel. Bear Creek and plated bullets work just fine.

If you are going to make creampuff loads, you need to go with a lighter spring and tune the gun to the ammo.

Almost all Glock failures are either attributed to operator error, improperly installed mods, or out of spec ammo.

I find this thread funny. The fans of Glocks are trying to help the OP, while the Glock haters are spewing their normal nonsense about what a pos Glocks are while at the same time calling the Glock owners fanboys. Sure is a lot of butthurt.

I don't think he's talking about reloading his own ammo. I think he's talking about buying cheap "remanufactured" ammo from commercial sources.

Sounds like either your grip or the ammo though. So I'd get factory ammo and try again. If you still have issues, get someone who has experience with Glocks to shoot your pistol. If that person has problems it is the gun, if not then it is you.

If you guys are buying commercially reloaded ammo, then that might be some cause for concern. I don't trust other people's work. However there has been an increase of HK Kabooms from factory ammo in the past few years.

I am sure we can all agree the OP's issues is clearly a case of operator error.

Do you dispute that the most likely causes of the issue are the reloads and the modified mags?

There is fanboy and reverse fanboy going on here, but I challenge anyone with any experience to dispute what I have said.

You have a complex machine that is not working properly. Standard diagnostic efforts should include isolating the most likely issues, one at a time.

This particular machine was being used with reloads, and modified magazines, and it's brand new. That's a minimum of three possible problems, and we can add possible sissy wristing.

Sure, op COULD box it up and have Glock check out the pistol. That's one way to try to figure out what's wrong. Of course, Glock WILL ask what kind of ammo, and WILL blame the issues on that ammo. They will likely blame the mags, too.

Because it's likely one or both of those things.

So how is it fanboy to advise op to switch to factory ammo and see if the problem persists?

If it does persist, he should try different, Unmodified magazines, mindful of the California follower problem with some mags.

Do you really want to pretend it's some Glock public relations deal that people with experience are telling him to check these issues out and report back?

Because guess what? If he does, and it still doesn't work, there's something wrong with the pistol.
