I have never paid over $850 for an HK firearm and if I did it would be worth it. Glock's are made with inferior metals, inferior milling and the guns are just not machined as well as others, this makes them loose in MY OPINION, and is why they are reliable. Plus you have to spend 100-200 extra just to get it up to par (well at least I do). I know HK's are over priced, I don't deny it like 99% of glock owners, But hey, I will pay for "NO COMPROMISE"

I have had some issues with Gen 4 Glocks 19's (not internet rumors, actual issues), another reason I iooked hard at other platforms. I do feel that the PPQ and the VP9 are "better" guns.

That said I will never ever sell my Gen 3 G19's from the the early 2000's or earlier. If Glock only made their guns like this still I'd have never switched.

He stated it better than I did, the earlier glocks Gen1 and 2 are fine pistols, so is the gen3, I wouldn't pay a premium for them, they are way over priced for the product you get! I'm still gunna buy g19 soon, I like to have fun shooting them, I wont pay over 400 for one though.

My glocks are my beater guns...I'll abuse them use them in classes where they get disgusting, etc etc (a vp9 will be getting this treatment too). The G19 form factor is new perfect though.

That said. If you pick up a PPQ vs a Glock the PPQ just feels better build. But when I pick up my VP9 vs my PPQ the VP9 feels the same..

My buddy picked up numerous Sig X5's including a Black and White...when I pick that up, it makes all of my guns feel bad about themselves with the exception of my P210's...lol

Yeah HKs are way over priced now days, I would pay 350-400 for a VP9, not a penny more!

My gun is better than your gun. It doesn't really matter what gun you have or what gun I have, mine is just better.

If you're experiencing FTE in the H&K, it might be because the manual recommends to lube the magazines. In general, I would lube up a brand new gun before shooting anyway.

Seriously, most guns, if we bought them as a commodity, should only be like $150 at most. But regulations, supply/demand, marketing, etc, crank the price up.

$4k custom 1911s astound me. Yes, I understand that it's a case of skilled human labor. But still...wow.

Glocks are brilliant for their function per dollar AND the fact that Glock can get people (including me) to pay so much more for them.

Look at a modern CPU. Probably costs you about $100, and is several magnitudes more complicated than a Glock or 1911. A single CPU requires a Billion dollar factory. A guy in a garage in the Philipines can build a 1911 from a pipe and a manhole cover.
