The gun runs fine with freedom 124 grain reloads even. Like I said once mine broke in it now runs freedom 115 grain reloads perfectly. It has run every hollowpoint I have tossed into it (I use speer 124 grain p+), but it has eaten every random hollowpoint.

No offense meant - but the way I read your post, you do indeed have a "dog in this fight" namely Glock - and you don't want someone else to rain on the "Glock Perfection" parade. (what's the vp9's marketing line again.....?.... oh, that's right "striker fired perfection")

I love the way my VP9 feels. Ergonomics are top-notch. It also seems to have one of the softest recoil impulses I've felt... even softer than my SP-01. Accuracy is great too.

Notwithstanding, I will still love and keep my Glocks, my Sigs, and my CZ. I love handguns so there's no point in taking sides. Hype or not, I want them all.

I never give much credit to a new gun review. Most of the time people still have their rose color glasses on and heap phrase on their new investment, before they have really run the gun though it's pace's. After all if you spend $500 to $1000 or more on something, you got to be pretty stoked about it.
After you've owned it for a couple years and put a few thousand hard rounds down range I want to hear what you got to say. Other wise it's really just excitement over a new toy.
Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Unless you are from out of state or you are a LEO. You can't wait because SSE will end this year.

Mostly agree...though I knew I didn't like the M&P line (except shield which I liked from the first shot) by the first 1k rounds through one. Spending another 2k rounds on one was a bad choice..lol

PPQ I hated initially until I put myself on a timer...then I appreciated it vs my G19

Opinions are like elbows - most people have more than one, and I simply don't care about yours.

I might have responded differently if you had displayed the ability to distinguish between opinion and fact - fact of the matter is, I too think the PPQ is the better trigger (having only dry-fired my currently being DROSed VP9).

Almost every post critical of the VP9 comes from a Glock fanboy who has consumed waaaay too much Austrian coolaid...
The VP9 I predict will have a great impact on Glock sales /pricing. It is a FAR better gun and for not a lot more $$ currently. My Vp9 makes my Glock seem like a brick in comparison.

The Glock people, rightfuly so, got to give the 1911 folks a hrd time about "obsolete design"..., well the HK VP9 (and the M&P /PPQ) have put Glock int that "obsolete design" catagory and the stop gap gen 4 doesn't cut it. Some people just don't like progress

No offense taken but I promise you that you are incorrect. No dog. I'll flat out say that the ppq has a better trigger than the glock. Hands down. In fact if I wasn't so heavily invested in the glock platform I would definitely consider switching over!

Honestly though, if I wanted to drink the glock koolaid I would continue saying glock is the best. But I'm not. I am singing the ppq's praises here, not glock

Don't even bother comparing guns. If you like one, that's good enough reason to get it and enjoy it. Who cares if someone likes a different gun more?

Don't dis the Glock Fan Boys. The July issue of Recoil magazine has an article featuring Bill Rogers. He has more than 90 gun related Patents. He was also in the FBI. He has a tactical training school. He said, they use to run Sigs & HK for their training classes. They had to have a full time armourer. They were able to get rid of the armourer after going to Glocks & M&Ps. Give the Glock the respect it deserves.

I've got a PPQ and have owned HK45c & P30 40S&W. What about those guns makes a Glock Pistol obsolete? What feature does the VP9 or PPQ have that make them superior. Please don't tell me that the trigger makes either of those guns superior to a Glock. I've got a CZ P09 and I think that gun for $440 is just as good as the PPQ or HK VP9.

Honestly, I don't think Glock is "obsolete". The mechanism is still a wonder of simplicity and ... "wow, this actually works?" design. As an engineer, I really do appreciate the Glock. And I can't wait to get my hands on my incoming PPQ as well.

I've heard people say "The PPQ is flippy". We'll see. The VP9 might not be as flippy...only shooting both can tell. But really, just learn to use whatever you are shooting and everything is good. No need to feel bad or superior to people who buy other guns.
