The VP9 I predict will have a great impact on Glock sales /pricing. It is a FAR better gun and for not a lot more $$ currently. My Vp9 makes my Glock seem like a brick in comparison.

The Glock people, rightfuly so, got to give the 1911 folks a hrd time about "obsolete design"..., well the HK VP9 (and the M&P /PPQ) have put Glock int that "obsolete design" catagory and the stop gap gen 4 doesn't cut it. Some people just don't like progress
I heard it was the other way around. HK, for a long time, thought they were too high and mighty to be bothered with a cheap striker gun. Now, almost all the gun companies had striker guns and no one is buying HK's. So, what does HK do? They copy the...Glock...

I've heard people say "The PPQ is flippy". We'll see. The VP9 might not be as flippy...only shooting both can tell. But really, just learn to use whatever you are shooting and everything is good. No need to feel bad or superior to people who buy other guns.
My PPQ is flippier than my VP9 but in no way unmanageable. The VP9 has a very very pleasant recoil impulse though

Unfortunately, not quite a copy. You want to see a copy... Look at the S&W Sigma or maybe the Springfield XD. The HK is not only an altogether different ergonomic proposition, based on my VP9, the mechanism is more complex than the Glock....so I will concede the elegant simplicity of Glock still is an attractive attribute.

I really don't like the word "copy".

People seem to throw it around way too much.

Yeah, I always asks ranges this. EVERY range I have ever been to has said that glocks require the least maintenance and fewest issues. That says something....

Actually, HK was first, before Glock in the plastic striker fired pistol department.

Not a surprise. Simple design ( that's good and bad) with fewest moving parts (that's good). I still own a Glock 19... Justin case I have to throw tens of thousands of rounds down range and all my 1911's, SIG's, hi powers and now VP9's fail in the face of the zombie / anarchist hordes.

Of course my FN FALs and my HK 91's are unlikely to fail.

A Glock after all the mods I wish to add to it is around the same price. Gen 4 G19, apex extractor, steel sights (defoors for me) and match barrel..around same price as VP9' stock and basically comparable gun with VP9 having better trigger but worse reset)

I mean a Gen4 G19 is 650 otd? Plus whatever you choose to add?

Your post is opinionated and false; there was a time (15+ years ago) when H&K Customer service was sorta sketchy, it's top notch now! You probably don't even own an HK. Glock fan I suppose LOL!

Yeah glocks are way over priced now days, I would pay 350-400 for a g19, not a penny more!

I say yes but only due to trigger. Glock reset is better. This is yes from accuracy perspective and subjective recoil impulse. I mean I believe the HK already comes with a match barrel (correct me if wrong). I know stock (and I only shoot offhand vs bench) my VP9 and PPQ are both more accurate than a stock Gen 4 G19 for me.

Upgraded Gen 4 G19 it's almost the same...but then we are till 800+

                                But you'd pay +$900 for a hk?
