Based upon my limited experience to date with my Derya DY9, Glock had better do something impressive soon or the clones will totally bury them. The Derya has such better features for half the cost. Of course, long term reliability is still a question compared to Glock.
Haven't shot it but have read that the Ruger RXM is the same, a better featured package for less money.

I have. I went to Turner's to look at an FMK. The guy behind the counter pulled a DY9 out that was in jail for comparison to the FMK. The trigger was better on the DY9 and the grip felt better too. Both were optic ready but the DY9 was $60 cheaper on sale. The sale is off so now the DY9 is around $349 if I remember right. I wanted to go with the FMK as it is made by a town near Los Angeles and is veteran owned.

I guess it's in the eye of the beholder but it looks ok to me? Pistols like this, Glocks, my Shields, Ruger Max 9 all look like generic plastic pistols to me. The proof is how they shoot and how they hold up, appearances aren't important to me at the sub $1,000 mark.
My H&K VP9, to me, doesn't look built any better or worse than my G17, other than the H&K isn't as hideous as far as design.

Picked up two NIB Gen3 G19's just in case. I already have three Gen3's and 1 Gen2. Not like they are a lot of money. My FFL sold them to me without a premium.

I thought these were interesting 'commentaries' on Glocks and the 'panic' buying...

How much did you pay for each?

Probably right. Here in TX too, the LGS' are fully stocked with all Gen types. At least outside Kalifornistan, people aren't trying to gobble them up because they're going to be discontinued. Glock made MILLIONS of them. It's not like they're going to be "rare" or a collectors item any time soon.

                          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I bought a LEO trade in just so I could have a spare frame. I've got so many Glock spare parts that if my frame went south for some weird reason it would kinda suck.

Sold off the slide and barrel, basically only ended up costing me about $50 (not counting FFL fees and all that stuff).

There's rumour that Glock V may get on roster without testing

I find that hard to believe.
