If there was such a thing as “Glock Perfection”, only one generation (the first) would have ever been produced. While we own many, and they have all been totally reliable and very easy to maintain, they are IMO, a disposable pistol for the masses of Walmart. Ditto for all the other plastic striker fired designs. At this point, my favorite Glocks are the 21SF, 30S, and 48. While IMO it is foolish to run out and buy one now, I may deiced to offload several batches of identical versions depending on what these buttlicks of the state legislature pull next.

Don’t forget Smith & Wesson. Those Donkey Dicks have done major damage to their reputation by inclusion of anything with the “Hillary Hole” as we call it. Now to be fully transparent, we own about a dozen with that ugly mark of goat sodomy, and have deleted and plugged nearly all. But the fact remains that S&W caved, and even if they eventually get rid of all the holes, they have forever tarnished themselves as a iconic American manufacturer. Same for any other manufacturer who puts a cross-bolt safety on a lever-action rifle. Thank the Lord, those are also easy to correct.

None, though I have thought about getting a second G19. For the most part, I think I have enough Glocks so I’m not going to panic.

I didn’t buy any either. The reason is actually “Glock Perfection.”

I have a Glock 19. It will outlive me by a large margin. I have no need for another Glock.

I remember the days when Ruger said they would comply with a reduction of the standard 20 / 30 round magazine capacity. I guess there’s a lot of pressure to do away with evil features. 🙂

So it seems. There is a lot of speculation as to why Bill Ruger Sr. went that way; nice to see that better heads are running that ship, at least from that standpoint. As to the overall general quality, as someone who owns a good number of various Ruger products spanning all their generations, they are generally good, some being better than others. They are far from immune in letting dog crap escape the factories, as are all the larger American manufacturers.

Went to local turners today and they had G19 OD in stock and I couldn't resist and bought one.

I've never owned a S&W auto since my friend bought a brand new S&W Sigma in the early 2000's. It's crazy how you can copy a Glock and f it up so badly. He sent it in for factory warranty 3 or 4 times. We used to call it his single-shot semi auto. We pressured him for years to get rid of it or buy something else.

I just picked up a Glock 19. J&R Sports in Livermore has more Glock 19s in stock and unlike most sellers has not jacked up their prices. Something I greatly appreciate. I kinda feel like I should have gotten another one, so when prices skyrocket I can make a little money. Now that new sales are being banned I won't ever sell this Glock 19. I like their fulcrum trigger, and am not a fan of the idea that they will be switching to their "pro" trigger going forward.

Sadly, they all have caved to politicians at some point.

I was given an early SW SW40P Sigma that has been rather great. The trigger sucked until I put the APEX spring upgrade in it. I went with the carry weight option. I think they also had a much lighter spring package available as well. No reliability issues with it whatsoever. Except I cannot find a light for it. The insight light they briefly made for it is nowhere to be found on the used market. Sadly, you can't get crap for the gun on the used market. Which given how well it runs is a shame. I am not sure if they got worse as new versions were released or what. But this gun should be valued much higher than it is.

                                That said, much prefer Glock.
