If some level of government had that information, what would they do with it? How would having that info benefit public safety? How would it benefit law enforcement?👍 7 -

I was watching a CPRA YouTube video, in which they are saying that Model V may be added to roster without LCI and disconnect because of the provisions in AB1127, if thats true then no need to panic buy.

I was thinking like you turbo. I've two and a half Glocks (the half being a Timber Wolf). If a Glock falls into my lap, I'm done.Comment

Zero, especially since AB 1127 doesn't affect interfamilial transfers.
When I pre-ordered my Derya DY9 back in July, AB 1127 wasn't on my mind. It wasn't until mid-Sept when the bill was sent to the gov's desk, was when I wondered if Derya would have their pistols available for CA before the end of the year. Fortunately, they shipped out a couple of weeks later and I was able to DROS mine on Oct 13.
I have a feeling Glock will try to get their "new" pistols back onto the roster, and hopefully those will have the Gen 5 frames (no finger grooves and decent stippling). The Gen 3 frames are so dated and garbage IMO.Comment

I've been trying to understand. As far as the new Glock Vs, in order for them to be able to replace the G3s on the roster, wouldn't they have to made in Austria only? Will they be? I've seen all of the buzz on how the V's might be able to replace all of the Gen 3s which will be yanked from the roster but my understanding is that in order to replace the Gen 3s, wouldn't they basically have to BE the Gen3s just with the GPT replacing the cruciform trigger bar? Wouldn't this preclude adding any new Vs if they have different style frames, aren't made in Austria, etc.? I hope they will let them on of course, but people who understand the intricacies better than I do have indicated that the only way the CADOJ would let them back on roster is if nothing changes but the cruciform trigger bar and no other changes.
I bought an original Ruger SR22 when it was on roster. Then a few years later, Ruger made some tiny, insignificant manufacturing changes to producing the pistol and Commifornia booted it off the roster. So what the experts are saying seems to indicate Vs probably not being accepted as replacements unless Glock keeps them identical and still produces the California ones only in Austria. Will Glock capitulate to Sacramento?Last edited by Capybara; 10-29-2025, 4:19 PM.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

If that's true.......... that's the worst possible anti gun liberal outcome. Then Glock could add models to the roster at will. and we'd gobble them up, say YUMMY, more please. Before there was Polymer there was Accuracy.Comment
