Yet another example of a manufacturer producing dog crap, as you had to spend extra $$ to make it useable up to it’s potential. Why don’t those manufacturers simply make the trigger good from the factory in the first place?…Do they own the company selling the “upgrade” part?….But NO, they make the end consumer spend more $$ to bring it up to a minimum useable spec. One of the worse offenders in this regard is Ruger: they produce the 10/22 with an absolutely horrible trigger that feels like a colostomy bag full of solidified beach sand, and then offer for sale the upgraded trigger that takes five minutes to install. They didn’t even have the common courtesy to give the consumer a “reach around” as they are getting sodomized. I suspect it is because the bean counters, lawyers, and the nannies run these companies, and not folks who actually use the products. They all suck vagrant balls.

It really wasn't that bad. It's just a whole lot better with the upgrade. I am not sure what it cost but it wasn't much. It was more of a personal preference thing. That said, a lot of people had that particular preference. Even with the upgrade I like the Glock trigger better. Nice crisp pull with the same pull weight every pull and a very short and tactile reset. Incredibly easy to master, making it the ideal gun for both self-defense and to learn the fundamentals on if you are just starting out. Getting people to accept that and get past the boxy looks of the Glock is tough though. I certainly had to get dragged kicking and screaming into the Glock camp. 30 years later I still have yet to find a gun I like better. There are guns I also like, but there is always caveat. Glocks are my go-to pistol for pretty much everything I would need a pistol for.

I have two Glocks and a clone. Two of these three will be added to my CCW when I renew. That said, Glocks are fugly and extremely boring but in a good way, the perfect CCW gun. Reliable, inexpensive, and get the job done.
That's why I find Gucci Glocks to be a waste of time and money, I have so much nicer to shoot pistols. A Gucci Glock is still just a Glock.NRA Certified Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor, Shotgun Instructor and Range Safety Officer

Some of the independent Reno LGS are pissed. Today an owner told me he may well be sitting on obsolete unsellable Glocks. Customers may not buy and wait to see what "GenV" is all about. In the mean time their inventory isn't moving. Bad news.🤢 1☕ 1Comment

I bought a Glock19 since I couldn't put my Wife's 19 on my CCW. Then I bought a Shadow Systems DR920 for ergonomic and because I could!TURNING and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

In free America it seems like glocks aren't moving at all now. Some people want to see what the v series is and others are angry glock is surrendering to anti gun politicians. Every gun shop i go to has a bunch of glocks gathering dust now. I bought a 43 I found at a pawn shop and a chassis for my 19. not sure if i want to register it as a SBR or keep the folding brace and avoid the NFA issues.

The V series are just a Gen 5 with a GPT. That's it. Nothing special or interesting. The Gen 6s were due to begin dropping Spring of 2026 from several dealer type videos I saw. The Vs are just a stopgap to head off lawsuits. I can't imagine they will see all that well. I bet the older ones will sell better once the Vs are put out because at least the older ones are no longer obtainable and people tend to like to buy what they are denied.In free America it seems like glocks aren't moving at all now. Most stores are sold out already. Many are jacking up their prices and they are still flying off their shelves.Comment

Except it still has the pro trigger instead of the fulcrum trigger. Therefore, it loses what I and others absolutely love about Glocks. Now, I have not shot their new pro trigger. Maybe it will be alright. But those I know who have were disappointed in it. Apparently, the reset is not as good as the fulcrum trigger's. I want a Glock to be a Glock. Just saying Glock on the side is not really the point to me. It might still be better than the competition. But will it be as good as it once was?Comment

We should know by end of Nov, if CA will get V series or no glocks at all.Comment
