IDK if it will happen without testing, but Cali has been a huge market for Glock. It would be worth the investment for them to engineer a version for Cali compliance.

They have to add ugly LCI and mag disconnect.

Zero interest in a Glock Gen 3 truly a depressing firearm. Everything from the hideous looks to the poor ergonomics to the unsatisfying shooting experience.

Yeah, that seems entirely unlikely given the nature of Cal DOJ

I already had them before the pandemic , dont want anymore , plus Im guessing they will ban possession like they did with magazines , the police will probably take them and say Glocks are a nuisance.

unsatisfying ? I could shoot a hi- point and be happy as long as I was out there tuning up my skills.

It's not like they're going to be "rare" or a collectors item any time soon.
True, the demand for Glocks outside of CA has not really increased. In recent years, I've sold off half of my Glock inventory, mainly Gen 3s and 4s with zero regrets. Gen 3 Glocks were great while living in CA, but escaping the state, to have no restrictions, made it easy to forget about only Glocks and discover other handguns. Even with the new "V"s coming out, I don't really an interest in purchasing one.

I'm with you on that. Glocks are OK. I've never been a huge fan of them though. I did buy a G42 last week simply because I only have one other .380. A Colt Government model I've had since the 90's. .380 is fun to plink with and I'll also use the G42 as a backup carry piece. Its comfortable to wear. It was also a more or less a "sure why not" buy. It fits my Wife's hand well and she can shoot more at the range now. 9mm she does OK with, .380 for her is even better and my .45 1911's are way too much recoil for her.

Other than that, I too much prefer other pistols over Glocks. SIG being one that I greatly prefer.

Right now I'm saving some extra pennies for a suppressor for my P228. Just picked up a factory SIG threaded barrel the other day for it that a LGS just got in a limited stock and put on sale. Got the email notification and I was there to pick one up within the hour.

If they are going through the trouble of this "V" version, it may just be an update to the Gen3 for Cali compliance. With a little wishful thinking, maybe a V series offshoot of the Gen5 with LCI and mag disconnect for Cali. I would certainly be receptive to such a move.

They may just add LCI and mag disconnect to V series instead of messing with Gen 3, more economical sense.. but you never know
