I need to find an SSE dealer in the Sacramento area for VP9's and FN FNX USG 45.

Anyone know who can handle that?

Sacramento Black Rifle, River City Gun Exchange, Shooters Warehouse.

Shooters Warehouse is probably your best bet for the lowest price. They have the most competitive prices, and they always have a gunsmith on staff.

I've purchased a gun from every one of those shops, and I think Shooters Warehouse is my favorite.

Also, I recently purchased an SSE pistol from them.

Depending on where in LA, I'd also look into EBR Works. Great folks, forum sponsors, no hassle SSE.

Plus 1 for the great crew at EBR.

Depending on where you are I would try Baboosh. He's in Rancho.

A question on dates - new law takes hold Jan 1 2015-

Can I DROS say mid month December 19th or so and pick up any time in the window? (Christmas vacation has me out the latter 1/2 of December). Specifically can I pick up say January 5th, 6th or whenever 2015? (firearm already purchased & DROS'd)

I'm confused as Riflegear posted on their facebook page:
"All SSE (off roster) pistols must be signed out by 12/31/14 "

A simpler question I suppose would be could you start DROS December 30th?

No. As of now the firearm must remain single shot through DROS... As of 1/1/15 it's not leagle to use SSE... So you need to complete your SSE process before 1/1/15...

Thanks - LBDamned - that's what I was afraid of. That cuts me down by one gun on my timeline. Crud.

So just to re-affirm, this new law doesn't affect creating a new semi-automatic AR-Pistol from an 80% lower?

Come next January I can still make my own single shot lower, and then convert it to semi-auto?

                        SSE on Walther PPQ M2

Anybody know an FFL in Bay Area who can SSE a Walther PPQ M2 and block the 15 round magazines?

With the end of the SSE good times I thought I would look for a SSE that can do the paperwork for a HKVP9 and possibly a HK MK23. Anywhere in the Southern California area would be good, and I could possibly drive up north to do the paperwork.

We have all those in Stock, however the VP9 has a waiting list.

Gonna plug Grant at Ammoparadise.com (based in Anaheim) on this. His prices are pretty good and he doesn't charge extra for SSEs purchased from him. Find what you want, set up an appointment with him, and order online. I ordered a Sig P938 Equinox (somewhere around $650 plus tax and DROS), went to do the DROS, and am waiting my 10 days. No issues so far, he's a nice guy, and he shares his office with a sweet friendly dog. I'll be going back for my next SSE.

Edit: Just read superbart's original post. I have no idea if he is willing to do out-of-state but it's worth asking considering his convenience and service.
