Anyone know how long Batterwerx take? Couple of days or 6 months?

I sent my Glock 20 slide to Maple Leaf in TX, and had the slide milled for $125 and cerakoted for $40 and $60 for blacked out suppressor sights installed if I remember the cost correctly. I ran a Vortex Viper. 250 rounds no issues with 10mm.

I’m interested in whatever you get in the end. I’m still torn about changing the slide on my home defense pistol, though. Maybe I will keep it entirely stock.

@bellwilliam They received my slide on the 8th of July and should be done anytime. The reason for the delay is due to me having it re nitrated and they send them out in batches vs 1 at a time. You may want to contact them on wait times, but I'm sure non re coated/finished slides are turned around pretty quickly.

Unless, I missed something in the detail in Battlewerx's website...

Interesting on the 4 lugs, but I can tell you for sure that the 2 lug done by BattleWerx had a return to zero when changing out the battery on the bottom of the RMR. I also do slide racks off of wood barriers, back of shoe, belt, holster car tire and never had any lost zero or loose screws of the RMR.

Factory slide milled out would be my first pick

I probably would have gone with Agency but they don't make 34 slides anymore. I was going to go with Brownells but they are uncoated and have a soft surface. The Suarez slide feels legit and has done a great job so far.
                That is sweet...!!!

I just need to find a slide. Or be willing to have the original slide milled. Hahaha!

so that's an month wait at minimum for a coated/finished. thanks.

I wonder if you don't click on "coated/finished" option, what you get? do you just get a small untreated surface (area under the RMR)?

I also don't see the $20 cover plate mentioned earlier.

@bellwilliam looks like the cover plate is no 34.00. If you don't get the machined surface finished it will be bare metal underneath. My son in law had his left raw and he ended up using alumihyde, but wasn't happy after and regretted it.

A few years ago BattleWerx had a Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal where they offered gree nitriting but I haven't seen that deal since then. Just one note the company that used to do their nitriting tipped over a whloe rack of slides and 1 of mine was damaged for my go to G19. According to BattleWerx it had a small ding near the rear sight cut out. They immediately offered me a full custom slide milling (design no longer offered)for free to mill out the imperfection. I gladly agreed but without the top dust cover cut.

Will your wife be using a G34?
                      I'd recommend the Brownell's slide. https://www.brownells.com/handgun-pa...rod125167.aspx

With any new slide, I would break it in with a few hundred rounds. Some slides will need to be fitted (usually anything "match").

I didn't want to use my original slide with same serial #. I went with Legion Precision and their dimpled sleeper slide. And waiting on a Battle Cut Slide from SouthWest Precision

No. She prefers the G19... In a previous 4-day class, had her use the G34 for 2-days, then, after trying the G19 on the 3rd day - she said she should have gone with it on day #1 (I did NOT tell her "I told you so..." ).

Also, if she is fine with the G34 - she could always use mine - G34 MOS Gen 5 with a 5.0MOA SRO zeroed at 10-yards (BUIS at 20-yards).

That said - I am really concerned about the reliability of Brownells... Although the pistol will not be for defense, again, I would not want her 2-day class ruined because of a slide.

                        Cheers,

PS: That said, I am leaning to the Supermatch slide from Suarez. They estimate a 2-week turnaround (with stock internals excluding barrel).

Just a quick FYI a lot of after market slides don't fit holsters for glocks.

You can use a universal holster, I prefer the BlackHawk Omnivore TLR or X300. They work well because the retention is only on the light. Nylon light bearing holsters suck cuz it's extremely difficult to draw without the light getting hung up.
