Glock 19/17 Optics-Ready Slide - What will you get?

I used rock slide for my 26 before going to Suarez. The rock slide broke within 100 rounds. They sent a replacement which also broke just as fast. Just be careful. Their slides are thin and not durable in my past experience with them.

Luck has nothing to do with it, I did my research.
Rock slides have a lifetime warranty and are mfg. in the USA.

Wife will be taking a 2-day class later in the year as a "refresher."
She says that she likes the idea of using red dots, after playing (but not shooting) my polymer Walther Q5 (DPP) and G34 MOS (SRO).
That said, I would not want to mill the OEM slide and looking to purchasing an optic ready slide. I see several options...
- Suarez International: https://suarezinternational.com/suar...n-3-g19-black/
- Primary Machine: https://primarymachine.com/glock-ucc...rmr-sro-ready/
- ZEV Technologies: https://www.zevtechnologies.com/Shop...s/Glock-Slides
- Midway USA: https://bit.ly/2P9CHnj (search URL shortened)
- Zaffiri Precision: https://zaffiriprecision.com/product...e-gen-3-rmr-2/
What would be your vote? Emphasis is on reliability. (I have seen a milled Glock 34 slide break in a class. I forgot what was the name of the shop, though).
Right now, I am leaning to the Suarez slides...
Thanks in advanced!

You can always get a stock slide on ebay and send it to Fabricated Arms. Chris does good work. I had him mill my P320.
Also, on Ebay there are a few up and coming slide millers that seem to not be so bad. Yeah they are selling stripped SS clear coated slides, but they do not seem too bad.Last edited by stilly; 08-31-2020, 8:24 PM.7 Billion people on the planet. They aint ALL gonna astronauts. Just quick update...
So, have been playing with my Suarez-slide G19 in the range. Now that I have decided to take it to an informal shoot - dang! It does NOT work well with standard Glock 19 Gen 3 holsters...!?! (Contrary to what I was told by the Suarez customer rep)
These are the 'staple' holsters like BladeTech, Comp-Tac, Bravo Concealment, etc. Yes, it can be made to fit... But even with the screws set at the lowest retention, the gun just gets "caught" in the holster that it doesn't make for an efficient and clean draw...
For the Bravo Concealment holster - I have to really PRY it out!
For the Comp-Tac with retention set for what works with my OEM slide G19 - it even takes effort to holster or draw the gun...
I find that the slide is a bit wider... Hence, a Gen 5 holster does work. Albeit, my Gen 5 holsters are for G34s...
I guess I will just have to mill the G19 OEM slide.

Doesn't fit standard/staple holsters. I can't risk getting another pre-cut and not working with any of my gear.

I've had great luck with ZEV slides. Built up a stripped frame G17 for my daughter with a Trijicon on it, and replaced my sons OEM slide with an identical slide and optic. I just bought a ZEV Duty slide to replace the slide on my G19x to put a Trijicon on mine as well. So far the ones I have used have run flawlessly."You fickers are all cray cray in my opinion.
