I'm gonna raise the BS flag on this one. Spinning donuts and trespassing will get you a felony? If you're a felon, you're prohibited from possessing a handgun. If you can't posses a handgun, why would you need a permit to carry? If it was truly expunged, you're not a felon. Did the expunged items still show up on the livescan that you did on yourself?

Lol raise all the flags you want. Those were my misdemeanor's, Of course everything is on the live scan. An expungement does not delete anything. Your live scan will show all arrests whether you were brought in or ticketed regardless of the outcome. Really why would I apply for a permit if I couldn't own guns? Doesn't that sound just a little retarded?

Curiosity(what can I say, my last name was Morris) killed the cat, so if those were your misdemeanors, what what the felony you mention?

I slim-jimed a car door open for a friend to take off the dealership lot. We did'nt take it but were seen buy a cop driving by as we walked back to our car with tools in hand. Dumb***** kids

            Need Help In Solano County

I am trying to find out if there are any "good cause" statements out there that I can use to draft mine. I am Active Duty Air Force about about to retire soon. I am going to be a disabled Vetran due to several surgeries on my foot. If something ever happened and I need to get out of a situation, running is not going to be an option for me because of my foot so I want to be able to get a CCW permit. Is there anyone that can give me some help on this?

Got my permit today!!! For the good of the group, here was my timeline:

                Application on 1/11/13
Received letter to proceed on 1/25/13
                Completed Livescan on 1/28/13
Letter to Proceed was sent on 4/16/13
Turned in Targets on 4/22/13 (thanks Frazier!)
                Picked up license 4/26/13

Thanks for the great info in this forum on GC's. I think it really helped me breeze through the process.

                    Goldcup,

Good luck! It seems like the timeframe shrank quite a bit since Kelly took over. It took me 6 months, but I'm seeing reports of only 3 or 4 now.

Are you getting in on the EIC match on base later this month?

We should get the OP to fix the links in the very first post. Sucks now that they are down and no one new can reference them...

Good luck, AD here as well. I'm not originally from CA and I contacted Kelly via email and she has needed more time. She said she would reply by COB yesterday and I havent heard back...Not in a rush but I figured they would get these questions on a regular basis with a base nearby...

That's good its going even faster now, whats an EIC match? Not familiar with that...

I havent turned in my application yet, I cant remember and dont have the tickets from the past years. They were just speeding tickets, do you all know if i can go to the courthouse here in CA and they can give me that info? Or do i have to request my driving record from MD since thats where im licensed?

According to Ms. Kellie, it can be as short as 3 months if you've lived in the same place for a long time (23 years in my case). If you've been moving around, e.g. military, they have to wait for answers from numerous jurisdictions, and some, especially the bigger city PDs, are not prompt at all. But she's tenacious, she gives them 10 business days and then sends out a 2nd request. Kudos to her for being organized and systematic.
