I ask because I plan on moving to solano only if Im sure I can get my ccw and just maintain one residence. Im not the biggest fan of being away from my family for days at a time for work.

So im only wondering if I applied and stated that I posses a permit in sac co would i get hemmed up on the dual residence thing or would they process my app and leave my sac be and when I get approved I can begin the move and let sac sherrif dept know I moved.

My first renewal is complete! A very pleasant experience. Solano SO now has a very pleasant woman named Kelly handling Carry Permits, Catherine can now focus on her job once again.

Mine's due for renewal this June. What's involved?

Give them a month to process your renewal. There's no LiveScan. The renewal form is much shorter than the initial application and is now downloadable from the Sheriffs website. The renewal class is short and sweet. You will have to requalify with your weapon.

No, you should be good to go (unless you know there is some disqualifying event in your background). You might as well get it out of the way while you're waiting those long weeks for the call to proceed.
