Got a call today from the investigator. First contact since my interview on 4/9. That's exactly 5 months since my interview. Just asked me a couple of questions like do I still live at the same address and verified the guns I wanted on the license (since I changed one).
According to some of the comments on here, my wait could be a couple of days or three weeks till I get a call.

So based on where they were 70 days ago when my father in law got his (interviewed 4/4) they aproved 15 days worth of interviews in 70 days. That's 4.66 days to a prove one day worth of interviews.

By that math I have 102 days to go (may 9th interview)

Sadly, that's not correct. They were interviewing 3 days a week back then. So, 7 days of interviews instead of 15.

Sheriff Moore clearly does not care about the post election delays with the CCW process. I think its total BS and the San Joaquin County Sheriffs Department should be called out on these delays. At the current rate, it will be several more months before they even get through the April applicants. Where are the extra investigators they were hiring?

Maybe its time for the Cal Guns Foundation to draft a letter to the Sheriff.

I was under the impression they were doing 5 days a week.

A letter from them may just make them change policy is what I am afraid of, it would be very easy for him to say no good cause and see if we file a lawsuit

Yes my interview was 4/18. Some have asked for timelines so here is mine.

Early March called for interview appointment. Was given 8/6.
The next week got a call saying they hired more and asked if I wanted to move it up to 4/18 which of course I said yes.
Called the week before verifying appointment since it would be on Good Friday and it was confirmed.
4/18 showed up for appointment and was told they didn't have me down but would take me anyway.
9/1 Sheriff's Office called and asked if I was planning on carrying at work.
9/10 received call for approval.

Hmmmm something doesn't seem right I had a friend go in for his appointment 4/11 so they must be skipping around
