Just got out from my interview. Pretty standard fare, picture taken, asked me to look over my livescan form, which had a mistake but was easily corrected. Did the interview and then they rolled my fingerprints.
One thing of note was my interviewer said they are 7-8 months out but that seems to be the norm at this point.
Will update when I get contact. Forgot to ask what month they were on though.
Edit: forgot to add there were two other guys with the same appt time as me and if the cubicle I was at was the only one doing ccw's then there are at least 4 interviewers, at least when I was there. Also seemed like one of the interviewers was surprised there was only a couple of us. There was a lady leaving when I got there, then a guy showed up when I got called in and then there was another when I left.Last edited by 3lsmc7; 03-16-2015, 4:17 PM.Comment

I had my first "GMC" interview this morning @10am. Pretty uneventful, and otherwise very quick, with the exception of the gal learning the new software on the fingerprint machine while on the job. lol. It was light hearted and nothing intimidating really.
There were three gentlemen interviewers when I was there and each were smiling and seemed like they were having a good day. My interview seemed to be very quick, perhaps because my employer performs a very rigorous semi-annual background checks? Beats me, but it seemed like it took much less time than I expected to go over the application and initial each page. Maybe I was already disqualified and they wanted my money? Hahaha, kidding.
I was reminded that it's 7-9 months to hold the permit in my hand if approved. Also, I only listed two handguns on my app, and I was told that if I wanted a third on the paperwork that I needed to bring it to the 16hr training so it'll get added to my paperwork. Otherwise, it'll take a while to get another added post license approval.Last edited by GovGeek; 03-16-2015, 9:59 PM.Front Sight Member: Diamond-> Commander

It's sad to see that nobody has got the approval call for a couple of weeks. I hope this is not a signal of policy change. If it ain't broke, keep fixin' it 'til it is...Comment

Approved just shy of 10 months. Had to have an interview with the sheriff because of my poor driving record in high school, He was very nice and I appreciated him taking the time to talk to me before his decision, was approved 2 days after interview. Good luck to everybody waiting.Comment

Mbz Dr I'm sorry to hear about the decision for you that is extremely unfortunate I don't want to over step my boundaries but do you know why it was denied? Did you have a lot of tickets or anything that could possibly cause this decision . I think it would be helpful to others just so they know if they should spend the upfront cost and then lose out and get that unfortunate phone call like you did. Once again I am extremely sorry for the outcome and I wish you all the luck in the future .Comment
