Need to get my first renewal in June so I started looking into it now. I went on the SBCSD website and noticed under OFFICE LOCATIONS it only gives Victorville and Glen Helen offices. Is this the only place you can go now? I was originally issued at the San Bernardino office.

If another person is in the vehicle, then no.
This is because the passengers can be charged with possession of a loaded firearm in public [PC 25850(a)], because they have the ability to access your loaded firearm.
^People have been arrested and convicted of this in CA.

If you are the only person in the vehicle, then yes.

If you leave your handgun in an unattended vehicle, then the handgun must be in a locked container that is hidden from plain sight or be in a locked container that is permanently attached to the vehicle's interior that is hidden from plain sight or in the vehicle's locked trunk. [PC 25140(a)]

So, before exiting your vehicle, you need to holster and conceal your handgun on your person or place the handgun in a locked container that is hidden from plain sight or in the vehicle's locked trunk.

I was told by the Sheriff that as long as it is in a place a passenger cannot reach it was ok like the door, even if you are the passenger, as long as you are in the vehicle. Personally, most would agree that a vehicle is a horrible holster and the magnet holders leave room for liability. I don't want to be spotted reholstering in public.

I have my interview coming up and currently going through all the paperwork making sure I have everything in order. I was wondering if anyone who recently turned in their paperwork. What exactly do I fill out prior or in person when the interview time comes. Like the verification of concealed weapons for license. Do I fill that out ahead of time. Or just leave it blank and hand it to the interviewer when asked and they will fill it out? Also employment letter. Do I fill out name and ssn? Or leave blank.. same with terms of use. Do I initial each line and just not sign til infront if agent?
I will have double copies of everything incase I goof and was supposed to leave blank til infront of agent. I'd do a search but it would take too long due to calguns slow system for the time being. Thanks in advance!

The only search you should have done was the SBCSD website and READ the initial instructions.

VA regulations 38 CFR 1.218 prohibit the carrying of firearms (either openly or concealed), explosives or other dangerous or deadly weapons while on VA property, except for official purposes, such as military funeral honors.

Possession of firearms on any property under the charge and control of VA is prohibited. Offenders may be subject to a fine, removal from the premises, or arrest.

Is there a requirement that the ammunition you have be purchased within a month of training and have a receipt? I'm not sure where I got that idea but I was looking on the website and didn't see anything.

Last I heard it wasn't required.

Not for renewals. I just renewed mine and actually just got it in the mail today.

Shout out to the SBSD team for their willingness to issue permits.

Also, anyone renewing this year, it's not the old Sheriff's office location downtown by the courts anymore.

When my navi took me in to what looks like a desert, I was so confused lol.

There is a new office location for the CCW team.

Also a question. Do I keep carrying my current CCW until it expires or just start carrying the new one? I still have like 2 months left on the old card as far as the expiration date is concerned.

Your renewal ID is not valid until your current one expires.
