Due to the SBCSD computer system being hacked renewals are NOT being processed currently. It could be weeks or months before they are back up and running.

I reached out to the CCW unit at the SBC sheriffs office about the system being down. They emailed me back to say the whole system is down and it would be another month or so before it was back up. They had no other information other than that.

Guess I’ll have to wait to apply lol

SBC CCW first recert inquiry regarding fees

What are the total costs of all the fees I need.
I found the 3 fees on the sbc ccw web page however am wondering if there are any more.
I will be going to route 66 for my qualification and the fee for that is 35 $. I still have not fulfilled my 4hr class. Is there a fee for that? Thank you very much gents and gals.

We need more info. Are you asking about a renewal or a new application?

The reason I ask is that a renewal only has 2 MO's and you can qualify at Route 66. A new application has 3 MO's and you can't qualify at Route 66.

No according to their renewal instructions, there are still three money orders required.

STANDARD 2 YEAR RENEWAL FEES
$52.00 payable to DOJ
$40.00 payable to SBSD
$38.00 payable to SBSD

Yeah, this is ridiculous. Because of their negligence, our right to bear arms / carry is delayed. There?s no business continuity or manual process they are willing to use.

I applied on Apr 1 and the scheduling part of the web application was already broken. Complete bull****.

Nearly 15 years in IT and I would have never allowed this to happen, and I've worked around PD's as a consultant before. lol

Too bad they didn?t retain your services?. I guess they don?t believe in cyber security or having a secure / resilient IT infrastructure.

I?m also guessing there isn?t a backup / secondary designee for CCW like Ontario PD (at least for the city of Ontario). They have to be notified for FFL 03 applications for folks living within the city limits, so why not be the backup when the Sheriffs are sent back to the 70s?
