Sorry if im a little late to the party. Im just trying to make sense from what is going on. So SBSO is back logged on issuing renewals? I haven't received any correspondents stating this. I dropped my packet off two months prior to exp. I just expired last week. I was hoping to get something quick but It sounds like they have issues.

I received a letter Friday. It said enclosed is a 120-day extension card.

The problem is?. No card was enclosed.

              Frustrating.

I submitted renewal paperwork in mid-late April.

                          San Bernardino

Turned in my paperwork last Friday. Received my extension card right then.

I asked about my dads scenario.

His expired two weeks ago and he had turned in paperwork mid April.

She asked where he lived and stated he should receive a card this week.

So location may play a factor on how soon you?ll receive an extension card.

Good for you but that is ridiculous if they are basing it on where you live.
They should be sending them out based on when you turned in your renewal paperwork.

I am curious as to how the extension is worded. No sign of mine yet.

If it's a manual process, I can understand organizing it by city or ZIP code.

But there are some people who will get the 120-day extension with 60 days already elapsed, unless they are dated from the time issued and not backdated to the expiration date.

                                Wording is..

"The person identified on the accompanying CCW permit is a valid San Bernardino County CCW permit holder. This card serves as a 120-day extension of the original expiration date found on the original card or June 1, 2023, whichever is longer. This extension is only valid in conjunction with the original CCW permit and is for use during a law enforcement contact.
