Last time I spoke with anyone there the phone line is unmanned most if the time. A email would be advised.
How long have you known that on 11/2 you won't be available?

        Adding a gun to Application

Anyone know if you can add a gun to your application after submitting the application but before finishing the "course of training"? I have heard other counties confirm the guns you are registering on the day of your class and range qualification and allow you to finalize the guns you want on your CCW at that time.

San Bernardino used to allow that in the past. Last I read they are issuing permits at the end of your range day so no time to confirm firearms.

            Not anymore.

In order to speed up the issuance of permits, they will only allow you to qualify with what's initially listed on your application. This is so that at the end of the range day, they can hand you your permit.

            In the past...
What you listed on your application was not finalized and what you listed on your range day and qualify with is what gets listed on your permit.
Typically, you received your permit about 10 days after your range day.

            Currently...
What you list on your application is finalized and those listed handguns are what you are allowed to qualify with on your range day and are what is listed on your permit.
Unless there are some catastrophic issues with you qualifying, you receive your permit at the end of your range day.

Follow-up question: In SBCO can you take a “multi-state” Course of Training ? I know in RivCo you can. Does SBCSD utilize several vendors for the Course of Training or is it just 1 provider ? Thanks !

Your choice is the SBCSD in house training only.

For all initials (first timers), the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department is the only authorized trainer.

For renewals, the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department has a list of authorized third party trainers that can be utilized in-lieu of going through the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department for renewal training.
^Currently, there are only four authorized vendors (Apple Valley Gun Club, Prado Olympic Shooting Park, West End Gun Club, and Route 66 Shooting Sports Park).

I live an exit away from the sheriffs academy so I can choose to do my renewal with them? Would it be the same deal as my initial CCW class and range day?

Renewal instructions are on the SBCSD CCW site.
The current list of ranges for qualifying is there also.
The renewal process is not the same as your initial application.

Does anyone remember when they posted the 2022 renewal info last year?

I'm trying to gauge when they might list the 2023 info.

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Question for everyone in here. I think I already know the answer but just want to double check.

Just got my CCW Renewal Card in the mail and added a new firearm onto it but the issuing date shows 2-1-23 I'm assuming I can't carry that new firearm till February but just wanted to get some confirmations from some of you out in the community.
