There was no range time back then unless you were adding or changing a firearm (which I was not). Most of the class attendees had their cards waiting for them at the end of class. Some clerical issue caused my card not to be there. I was told that the card would be mailed. Since my current card did not expire until the beginning of June, I was in no hurry to get my new one. Thought maybe it was policy not to send out new cards too early?

There was suppose to be range time. There was a misinterpretation in the renewal requirements and SBSD has since started to follow the 'new' requirement. You have to do the range date every renewal now.
If people at your class were getting their new cards then their renewal date was near the class date. The SBSD has informed many fresh renewals that they now have to do the range even thought they just renewed.

I submitted my renewal paperwork like early June. Did my quals at Prado on July 10. Still waiting for my card. Anyone in a similar situation or have received their updated card?

I am fairly new to California and just moved to SB county and wanted to apply for my CCW.

On the initial instructions form, it lists the following as required documents.

This is probably a dumb question but I just need to provide my Driver's license and my utility bills correct? Do I really need to provide a copy of the property tax bill? Or any of the other documents mentioned?

I just bought my house like 2 months ago and I have no idea when I will get a copy of my deed and don't believe my property tax will be paid any time soon...
I just had mine the other day and when I got there realized I grabbed the wrong paper. Didn't grab the deed with my address on it. The lady putting the forms together was very nice and said "don't worry about it we'll look it up".
I will stand for truth even if I stand alone.

                      There is your hold up!
Your 'new' guns have to be ran by the CCW unit.

Hello, I am curious about how the renewal process works in general and with covid going on if it is delayed. So I am looking to add a new firearm to my permit but I may not receive it before my 30 day period to submit the renewal paperwork, but I do have a serial number for it, will I be able to add it to my permit? Anybody have any ideas?

                              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
