    Gotcha.

I knew they were a smaller caliber, thought they were .22

Technical question my son has range date in April and listed the 3 fire arms on intitilal application and since then then wants to change the Ruger lc9 for the G43.
What would be the process. Does he just show up for range date with different pistol and or does this change need to be done prior to range date.

          Thanks

I certainly will Mike. I think it's an important detail especially for those of us that take long motorcycle trips and are tired of having to shuffle and unload/load weapons as we cross state lines etc.

Yes, he just shows up with up to three handguns registered in his name, they don't need to be the same as the ones listed on the original application. I made a change from my initial application (I bought a Glock 43 and swapped that in place of the 42) and you just list them on qualification day.

I had my interview 12/14 , don't know if I had a residence check, just bought our home a year ago, not familiar with our neighbors. I just got a call for my range date on 2/10/17. Hopefully you get a call soon...

Not prohibited by the IA, but you will not be doing any holster/drawing work in class.

Guns are laid out on the bench unloaded and open for inspection.
Guns are then carried to the line, locked open, muzzle down, and butt forward.
On command "Load and make ready" magazines are inserted and round is chambered (revolvers loaded and closed), held at low-ready.
Upon completion of firing, gun is unloaded and shown clear.

On a personal note, I would not recommend the clip-draw.
You can't safely carry chambered, and the average defensive incident is 3 rounds, 3 yards.... and 3 seconds. You simply don't have time to draw and chamber.

Is that range date a typo?
