Just got the call my permit is ready for pick up. but I don't get off work till 7pm so I'll pick it up tomorrow. Took exactly 11 months from application to permit being ready.

I heard to expect at least 3 weeks after your range day to get your permit? Why does this take so long? They only process two classes every weekend. Surely processing less than 1 hundred permits a week shouldn't take that long...

2 or more classes at Devore (used to only be saturday, but apparently they're doing other days now), a class at Apple Valley, renewals, employees....

Ya... staff is busier than a one legged man at a butt kicking contest.
Gotta' hand it to them getting what they are doing accomplished. It's gotta' be stressful and certainly not the stereotypical "cake city job"

Nervous about the interview because I don't know what to expect. I've heard SBSD is pretty good about issuing - if lengthy - but if any of you have tips I'd love to hear them!

Wow! Just got the best call ever. My permit is ready for pickup, 2 days after my range date. Sucks though cause I won't be able to pick it up till Tuesday cause of the holidays and my work schedule.

Thanks, Randy. Yes, I've heard patience is very necessary. I printed off the forms from the website and am slowly starting to put things together.

I read on here earlier today that we need to bring POSTAL money orders, but I can't find the post to double-check the date on it. Still applicable?
