Borrow an LCR before setting sights on it.
I hated my wife's, and she refused to shoot it more than 10 rounds.
It is a lightweight revolver that carries easily, but it's got an intense snap, and I had issues with the trigger guard irritating my finger.
I sold it to a friend and bought an SP101.
I love shooting it, even 357, and WAS going to put it on my permit....
But honestly, with the long heavy trigger pull and muzzle flip, I just don't shoot it accurately enough to be comfortable carrying it.
Could I qualify with it? Of course.
Also, you need practice, and a gun that you don't like to shoot is going to remain in the safe or in your holster while you shoot the one you like.
Consider the issues of reloading a revolver, particularly under duress when fine motor skills are shot.
Consider the issues of carrying speedloaders.
If SBC allowed 4 or 5 guns on our permit, I'd probably have the SP101 on there. Having only 3? After spending all summer going back and forth (including buying a pocket holster for the SP101 two days before I made my final choice), I ended up with two Glocks and a Shield.
One Glock will be replaced with a P380 when I renew, since the G26 is pretty redundant to the Shield, especially with the 9rd mag kit.
