    Quick question:

No violent arguments, but loud mandarin argument within my family. The argument is usually between my father and mother, but not sure if the neighbor (only one since there's a large gap between us and the other house) are able to differentiate different voices since we don't really interact with other neighbors. Do you think this will be a red flag for when the investigator goes around to ask my neighbors questions?

I believe so, different issuing agency so start all over. Atleast in the application where it ask if you applied or hold any CCW you can put it down.

To be sure call and ask the San Bernardino Sheriff office 909-387-3750

That depends on the investigator and what their looking for and the questions asked.

If you are worried, get to know your neighbors. Have some small talk and ask if you guys get too loud for them. If they say they hear the loud noises say you guys love watching sports/movies/ mahjong whatever and get really loud and excited. I'm assuming your neighbors don't understand Mandarin? It will put them at ease on what the loud noises are.

But loud noises as "Red Flag" no. Unless there's screams and crying from a victim being beaten up begging to stop and objects flying in the house and things breaking.. etc....

No more references, or letter of recommendations. They find it ineffective because all the letters will be positive and never negatives. They prefer contacting your past/present employers and neighbors.

#4 on the application instructions says to bring:
Property Tax Bill, Grant Deed or Rental Agreement

I can bring the property tax bill, but it wont have my name on it.
You can have a thousand proof of residency but they will only accept whats listed on the application.

For #4. I didn't have my name on the grant deed or rental agreement either etc.

What I did was have the person who did own the property to write a letter saying I live there X amount of time and got it Notarized. Brought that along with the original copy of the grant deed.

Also added my name to a utility bill and brought that in.

I had my interview a week or two ago and they noted that it's about two to three weeks from when you qualify to when your card is ready.

I actually saw the Deputy doing the neighborhood check when I got home a few days ago. He came over and asked for two people he could contact for character references since none of my neighbors were home. One works two jobs and the other is a corrections officer so they keep odd hours.
