Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that for those of you who have gone solar, SBSD is not accepting Tesla/Solar city or any other solar company bills as proof of residency. Sara at the San Bernardino office was very understanding of my situation ( I didnt have any other utilities in my name besides Tesla, LONG story..) and said I could still take my scheduled renewal class while I wait for my first gas bill in my name to come in.

Just turned in my paperwork for renewal yesterday.
Talked to the young lady at the window. She went thru my paperwork. Had me fill out the stuff they say to leave blank and not sign until you get there. Gave me a class date for the range to swap a weapon. Ensured I had a class date. Reminded me about the money order due at class. Told me not to miss either date so my permit could be processed on time.

In and out in 30 minutes, only because there were about 7 to 10 folks there for renewal or initial interviews.

      Easy peasy.

Be advised on the weapons change... see my prior posts on the subject. It may result in you being without your LTC for a significant amount of time. Hopefully they've caught up.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

My range date and class are >45 days from expiration.

But I would rather be without my permit for 2 weeks, seems to be the most time, than be restricted to 2 weapons for 2 yrs.

Lesser of the evils for me.

Hey guys, I went to the renewal class at central the other day. They mentioned that if you want to add a gun that you need to make an appointment. The range card and instructions that I received said no appointment was needed. However they had 50 ppl show up to the range i believe it was april 1st. It sounded like they were over whelmed. Just FYI.

They also mentioned that they make start using different venues that accommodate up to 500 ppl.
A man's GOT to know his limitations.

On the initial online CCW application submission do I absolutely have to list all three firearms with serial numbers and all or can that be done later (like during the interview)? I planned on purchasing a couple of pistols to list on the permit while I'm waiting for my interview.

You need your final gun list when you go to the range.
The sooner they have the list, the sooner they can run your guns.
List what you currently have/want to carry then add the rest at the range.

                    I'm not sure about that.

The only gun I listed on my application was my Sig P220. When I went to the range I took 3 completely different guns. I had my permit in 1 week.

                    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Here is my renewal timeline with a weapons change:

                      Current permit expires: 5/1/19
                      Submitted Renewal Application: 2/15/19
                      Range Day: 3/2/12
                      Renewal Class: 3/12/19
                      New Permit received: 4/11/19

It looks like they are now caught up.

Be honest about the DUI. The job recommendation for ccw might be a problem

SBCSD does not issue CCW's for work.
