Applied 3-2-16, no reply. Called 6-13 and got a verbal appointment for 7-20 due to a cancellation. I would otherwise would have waited until Feb. 2016. Got my email confirmation just now so I'm in. I guess my timing was just right.

Did my interview finally, anyone on the fence about doing it don't be, the deputy I had for my interview was very cool. We just went over the paperwork and he seemed happy too help explain the process, no stress or intimidating at all. We BS'd for a bit and he said many of them are working 6-10 hour shifts trying to catch up.

Overall very impressed with them. Only bad part was where the station was located, San Berdoo is sketchy as heck, and I was there early in the morning, I'd rather spend another night in Mogadishu than there. No wonder they are almost shall issue.

Application to interview is generally minimum 90 days.
Interview to clear background is 90-120 days.
Range is generally within 30 days of that call, license available a week later.

Minimum 7 months, generally 8 is a safe bet.
They had it down to 6 before December.

Welcome to SB! I would go ahead and get it going. They used to not accept applications without a deed or property tax bill and a utility bill to establish the address, but I think now you can add those anytime before the interview. (Someone who has gone through the process more recently may able to clarify.) Considering the 7 month time span, it will be good to get the application in as soon as you can.

Those were not submitted with the application when I applied a year ago.
They just needed to be brought to the interview.
The only thing submitted directly was the standard state application.

Job/residence history and notarized form were carried in.

I've got a quick question my interview is 6/27 and I'm having trouble finding my printed application. Am I required to bring it with me or do they have a copy I sign. App was late December and I still had the print option. Anyway to get and reprint if I can't find it? Thanks!

When I went last week they pulled up my app on a computer right in front of me to confirm and make corrections as needed

I don't think it affects us in San bernardino county. The sheriff is pro carry
