What a disgusting line from Sac Sheriff.. very disappointing

Yes, I realize I will have to file the residency mod if/when I move. I have never been through the mod process. Do you need to recert with any original guns on the permit?

        Thanks!!

No, but you have to include the ones you're keeping so the application will print all of them.
          Good luck.

I asked them and got this reply.

"You must advise within ten days of the move, if you fail to advise us within the ten day period after you move your permit may be revoked. Please advise us by Email of your move in date, be sure to update DMV at the same time. You may also submit an address modification and list the additional information along with qualification documents when you do submit the modification form. Because of all the Covid related issues we may not allow the firearm addition however we will complete the address modification. If we do not add/change the firearm information you will be notified in advance of the issuance of your new CCW permit. "

My renewal is coming in November, but I am going to try and add two guns anyway. I should still be able to use the certs. Thanks for all the helpful info.

Given the same time it took to write that response to you, they could check AFS for two firearms.

              Wishing you continued good luck.

I submitted my renewal on May 12th, uploaded additional document (DD 214) on the 14th, but I haven't heard anything back since then. I hope I can pick up my permit soon, I'm supposed to be travelling for work soon (out of state for 2 months)!

Unfortunately, it expired on May 8th.... I thought I had until May 28th.

You're still good to go (grace period). But you just can't carry right now.

I can only confirm renewals. I completed 4 hour renewal in early April. My permit expires late June. I was a little worried as a result of COVID and the recent looting and unrest. So I submitted my application on Saturday (5/31). I was informed on Monday (6/1) that I could pick up my renewal permit on their available schedule (Tuesdays and Thursdays for renewal). So I'm picking up today. I lost a couple of weeks, but I'm good for another 2 years.

                              Hi Folks,

I just submitted my CCW application for a new permit and the first available appointment was 18 NOV 2020. I am very happy that the Sac Sheriff's office is again processing new permit applications and will check back frequently to see if any earlier appointments open up. You know what they say, "anything worthwhile is worth waiting for".

Check multiple times per day. Basically, as much as possible. New appointments can open and close before you know it.

                                Good luck.
