I took a couple of years off to spend with my son. My record is crystal clear.

The closer my appointment becomes the more random interactions with police I remember and I start to worry they are going to think I am some type of derelict. I wasn't being detained or doing any crimes just those situations where they want to check for warrants or whatever they do when they look at your ID. They are all between 5-15 years ago but I don't want to waste time and be grilled about interactions I can't remember the specifics of and then end up with a denial.

Recently renewed for the second time in Sac County, with one gun on my permit (Glock 27).

I think I know the answer to this, but can a gun be added to an active Sacramento County CCW permit, or must one wait until the current permit expires, and then add/drop guns as desired, qualifying with each gun to be on the permit?

                  Thanks!

Why does Sac County limit the CCW to three guns verses having it open to any gun you legally own? If you qualify as a competent hand gun owner through range time and class time then why the repeated qualification just to add a gun!

CA requires that you qualify with the SPECIFIC gun you wish to put on the permit (by serial number, no less). The limit of 3 is because that is what fits on the current license - they haven't yet received approval for a new type of license based on a law approved a year or so ago.

Address modifications. How long does it take to get your new CCW card after submitting for address change?

Not sure exactly what you want to know but I just completed my renewal class at the gun range last week and I had to shoot 6 rounds one handed right, reload then 6 rounds one handed left. Also had to shoot 6 rounds, reload shoot 6 rounds kneeling, reload then shoot 2 more rounds also kneeling.
