Thanks for your post Mark. The Bee s probably probably why Sheriff Jones lost the election for congress.
My God, even the Conservatives are liberal in the messed up State

And, of course, the Bee punches the headline of: "Sacramento sheriff will make concealed weapons permits even easier to get."

Rather than: "Sacramento Sheriff implements cost-saving system for issuing concealed carry permits while retaining strict control over the process."

KCRA's story--more balanced on the budgetary benefits, but you still have to suffer through Marcia Brady whining about "blah blah mockery of our laws."

I just noticed your URL for KCRA should end in a 2. For anyone wanting to see the article, click here:

Also the SSE thing is a bummer if Sac County does hold us to that. I will have to re-DROS some of mine.

So, yesterday's electronic release from the Bee carried the headline:
Sacramento County sheriff making it quicker to get concealed carry permits
Today, the print version is on Page 1, below the fold, and has the headline:
Sheriff to streamline process for concealed carry permits.
A tempering (or re-clothing) of the bias of these clowns.

Do we still need to qualify w/ each of the 5 guns? I've been looking for the answer and haven't seen it yet.

First entry on the landing page for Sac Sheriff CCW: http://www.sacsheriff.com/Pages/Orga.../SIIB/CCW.aspx
New CCW Permits: 16-hour training course that includes instruction on firearm safety and the law regarding the permissible use of a firearm. You must qualify with each firearm you want listed on your CCW Permit (maximum 5 firearms)
CCW Permit Renewals (every 2 years): Prior to renewal, complete a 4-hour legal firearms update refresher course. Qualify with each firearm you want listed on your CCW Permit.

Range Qualifications: You must qualify biennially (every two years) or upon renewal of your permit with the firearms listed on your permit. If you want to add or remove firearms from your permit, a qualification is required on each firearm you want listed on the permit.

I would assume so, I think all they changed in that respect is the max number and you would need to qualify with each one.

So if I go for a modification to add one or two guns, do I have to requalify will all of them or just the new ones? Just issued in November 2016.

How would you interpret the Range Qualifications shown above from the Sheriff's website?

In the past, just the new ones as the quals for the existing pistols were still active and within the biannual requirement. I'm not sure about now, but I'd imagine it to be the same.

A post in this thread says Eagle Loan in Roseville will, but I can't vouch for them personally. http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s....php?t=1283093
