      Got my renewal appoint today.

It was fairly empty. nobody in waiting when i showed up and only 1 person waiting when i left. i came in 30 minutes early and left before my actual time too.

FYI: You can pre-populate the just cause statement section. I had 1 blank page and 1 completed just in case.

I was scheduled for May 9th at 10:30 for issuance appointment. I have not been rescheduled either. However, my wife, who had her initial appointment scheduled for May 16, has had her appointment rescheduled.

Why don't you send an email to them? I am sure they will accomodate you. Probably just an oversight.
It was just an old plywood boat, with a '75 Johnson, with electric choke. A young boy, two hands on the wheel, I can't replace the way it made me feel.

I already have emailed them. No response and still no reschedule.

Did you guys hear about the sexual discrimination lawsuit against SCSD today? Four women were awarded money for past economic losses. The one who received the most got $2.5m. Since the ccw bureau seems to be low hanging fruit, we will see how this plays out.

                      Story here: http://www.sacbee.com/news/local/cri...e78219212.html

It won't come out of the Sheriff's appropriated funding, so won't impact operations. The County is self-insured risk management. There will be an appropriation from the General Fund to cover judgement and litigation costs. But that won't happen until they decide whether to appeal.

Ultimately, this bone-head behavior has already cost the taxpayers a bundle just to defend. IF the verdict is upheld, the costs increase to pay the judgement and the plaintiff's attorneys. It's all taxpayer money.

Finally, I just received the conditional approval . I have a question, there is no where on the attached 15938-CCWInstuction.pdf that mentioned the name of the applicant just a generic 'TO: APPLICANT FOR CONCEALED WEAPONS PERMIT'. Is this standard practice?

Yes. You received it because it was addressed to you in some way, shape, manner or form. It's to you.
