      Thanks squirrel.

Wow the website site says "there are no available appointments at this time. We will email once one is available."

That's pretty lame. What do you guys think this really means?

      Thanks.

When they post appointments, they are all filled up within a day or so. They won't email available appointments as they have a 7000 person wait list as of February. They don't have time to send emails about available appointments. Or so i was told.

Checked on the 3rd of March, got Initial Appointment for New Issuance on March 12.

Checked 3-4 times a day. Appointment calendar was down the week prior.

Seems they just pop up whenever.......

Appointments are up! Just checked, and it now says a "few" remain. Like others have said, they won't send you an email when appointments become available. Just check it daily, morning and night. Made an appointment yesterday, scheduled for April.

I have the same question. I was interviewed on March 4th. I had no problems as the process went very quickly. I have no criminal history, no tickets, etc. But unfortunately I have not recieved conformation email yet.

My 2 year renewal today. Sheriff answered some questions.
What if I have multi calibers for one gun?
As long as you qualify with each caliber on that gun then your good.
One gun + multi caliber qualification still counts as one of your three listed.
                        No more gun change appointments.
But if you have a change of address you can change guns at that time as long as you have your qualifications.

You should hear back in 4 to 6 weeks, first to the middle of April. Once you receive an approval you do your Live Scan and it will be another 4 weeks before that comes back.

                          Mine went:

                          Initial: 12/19
                          Approval: 01/31
                          Live Scan: 02/07
                          Training completed: 03/02
                          Live Scan back: 3/07
                          Permit Issued: 3/19
                          ...

Searching back in the thread I see quite a few people have gotten approved within two weeks. I think it will all depend on how quickly they can do your background check. If there's lots to go over then it may take longer.

Hello, I take this is the page I have to keep checking to see if appointments pop up for first time applicant?

I'm one of those lucky 2 week turnaround approval. Background check started and they quoted 30 - 45 days.
