That's less than 11 days, my live scan results took exactly 14-15 days and I'm still waiting to hear back.(been about 2 weeks) since live scan results came in). wholy crap... hope you're pulling our tails!

I'm a contractor, work on military bases and VA hospitals, and get my background check done an average of 6-8 times per year, did not affect me. Application to CCW in Riverside County time was 3 months. Sheriff Sniff hired additional people who are handling the backlog, great guys at the CCW unit and at the Ben Clark range.

Called for an appt on Monday the 8th but got a voicemail, left one.
Haven't gotten a call back yet- is it typical to get a voicemail, left a voicemail, then get a call back? If so, how long?

Erik I meant the time it took for my live scan to clear, not the whole process. It was just weird to see my live scan complete after only one day.

^^ what he said. I called left a message waited about a week never got a call back. Emailed them and I got an email back next day, but then again this was back in 2017.

I go in tomorrow after waiting for a little over a year.

You are referring to the process for Murrieta PD. This thread is for the Riverside Sheriff process, which is different. RSO does not require a psych exam (as it shouldn't). Also, RSO is a LOT cheaper to get than a CCW for Murrieta.

Quick question about application....I'm new here, so hope this is the proper way to ask. On the DOJ form there is a space for details of reason for applicant desiring a ccw. Is this the space for the good cause statement, or are folks adding an addition separate page to address good cause.

Yes, and yes. That space is for your good cause statement but there is nothing to keep you from adding a supplemental page with pictures, etc.
