Heya - So I have a question. I am trying to keep them at a minimum, I have submitted everything, done the qualifying - I have done everything there is to do on my part...so now comes the hard part. The waiting.
Lots of people say it, but I know for certain on my part, that there is NOTHING in my background. My most notorious moment probably is when an officer helped me catch a dog that had wandered into my yard about a decade ago - it was a pretty mean dog, and had already bit a child in the neighborhood. I have honestly lived a pretty dull life - which suits me just fine!
The lady doing the livescan all but guaranteed that the results would be back within 1-3 business days. That was a month ago, and the last I heard from the deputy was they were still waiting on them. This is my conundrum:
It's been a month
The results are apparantly not back yet
On the bottom of the LiveScan form, where the lady wrote the ATI number, she wrote it kind of crooked, and it IS readable, but ya have to work at it.
When I go to the website, I get the results below.
Part of me isn't worried, because I see people here mentioning that it tends to say "pending" forever. Another part of me IS concerned, because mine doesn't even say "pending." It essentially says they have no record of my request
Just in case I got the ATI number wrong, I tried every other possibility I can think of, but I am fairly certain I had the number right the first time - but nonetheless, ALL attempts came back with the same result: "Applicant Transaction Not Found. Please contact the Agency that requested the Background Check."
Now, I did send the same screenshot to the deputy (without the censoring), and he didn't mention it. He essentially said that if they don't have the results at the 30 day mark, they file a formal request. I just am concerned that we may be waiting for nothing - that something went wrong during the submission process and they have no record of the request (possibly due to the ATI number written all weird - part of it goes over the printed text above the line, etc). I have checked a number of times over the last 2-3 weeks, and the results have always been the same.
Is this just like the "pending" thing and I don't need to worry about it - or do I have a valid concern. I don't wanna keep bugging the deputy, well, I do, but I don't lol! I am just anxious to get all this behind me.
Anyway, thanks for readin

I seem to be in the same boat. Odd. I might head down there to see if there is an issue.Comment

can you guys be more vague.. post your timeline. why psyc test? odd ball for what?<iframe src="https://giphy.com/embed/3o7WTCBePyp2GCamIM" width="480" height="270" frameBorder="0" class="giphy-embed" allowFullScreen></iframe><p><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/scared-donald-trump-bernie-sanders-3o7WTCBePyp2GCamIM">via GIPHY</a></p>Comment

They require a psych test which I did today. Shrink said she sees no problems.
Basically I completed all my steps from MyCCW.org checklist about a month after I filed my application for CCW. The next step is for my background investigator to compile my paperwork and submit to the approving authority (Murrieta PD Chief). Seeing how quick my BI did things, I should expect a final decision within 30 days.
It cost $710 all told through myccw.org but if I factor in time off work (vacation time = money) to drive to Riverside for appointments if I go through the RCSD route, I think it's $710 well spent.Frank Da TankComment

Excuse me but earlier in this thread you said you went the pre-approved route (this is your second go around with RSO), they set up a range date of Sept 8th, 2018 but you cancelled it on Sept 7th cause you didn't get a letter or phone call regarding approval. So now you're hanging in the wind sorta speak. Don't you think it would've looked better if you just qualified and waited for the results?Comment

i think murrieta said he should have gone preapproval route this go around, i might be wrong, anyways, it doesn't matter.. Kinda of sucks everyone has to stress to get one while other states just hand them up... bad guys don't even apply so again, being a good guy is very hard and sucks..
we're here for your mueritta42, spelled it wrong sorry! it's an emotional process... everyone here has bought their guns legally and that alone says a lot..<iframe src="https://giphy.com/embed/3o7WTCBePyp2GCamIM" width="480" height="270" frameBorder="0" class="giphy-embed" allowFullScreen></iframe><p><a href="https://giphy.com/gifs/scared-donald-trump-bernie-sanders-3o7WTCBePyp2GCamIM">via GIPHY</a></p>Comment

Picked up my permit today!
In case any one is interested this is how my timeline went:
August 30, 2017 requested a date and was given June 26, 2019
Received a call mid August and was told I can be moved up to Sept 18, 2018
Interview 9/18/18
Live scan 9/28/18
Qualification 9/29/18 - Went through Johnnie B Woods since I was able to get in a class faster and he doesn't charge to have more than two firearms on your permit. Don't know if others actually charge, but I heard they do.
Permit ready email 10/9/18 and picked it up todayComment

I honestly have no idea. I know a few people that seem to have been called randomly out of order. I had emailed them a few times before to check on an earlier date so maybe I just annoyed them enough they push up my date.Comment
