    $77 renewal + online $7 processing fee
$100 Ben Clark class/qualify (cashiers check)
    $10 Live Scan
    Am I missing anything?
For a renewal, is there a issuance fee as there was with the initial license? Just trying to get my cashiers checks ready to go, I don't want to miss anything.
If I remember correctly, the live scan can be paid by cash or card too. May save you a 1$ in cashiers checks fees.

Yes the Livescan and qualificaiton is what will determine how long. I have a busy schedule so the next two available dates at Ben Clark are June 15 (Father's Day weekend) and July 6 (Independence). Going to enroll for the class at 2nd Amendment in Palm Desert. Already have Livescan set for June 6 and actually have to burn some PTO to make the appointment.

          Good luck y'all!!!!

Question for the Riverside Renewal folks

Working thru my renewal and noticed the website says renewals 4-hour class but initial applications shows the 8-hour class. Do renewals just qualify and no classroom?

No mention of Livescan for renewals - is there a need to do Livescan again?

just got the email to come pick up my permit:

              applied: 1/30
              training: 2/9-2/10 at FTA
              Interview: 4/11
LiveScan: 5/3 (due to work and family issues I lagged on my live scan)
              pick up: 6/4

Since you already have your appointment date, I’d call/email the unit and get a date for Ben Clark (or whoever you qualify with) and then schedule a LiveScan at the sheriffs dept in downtown Riverside for the day after your interview. You will need a form from the department to get your LiveScan, so you cannot get it done before getting the form. The quicker you get it all done, the faster they will approve you.

In January (before online system) I waited 6 weeks from call to interview, but scheduled everything ASAP. It was 21 days from interview to final approval/pick up for me.

Thank you for the tips! I will try to schedule my course and quals as quickly as possible. Seems like I can do both over at ben clark? I can't for the life of me find the correct course to register for, or even see a schedule. Is that available online on their site somewhere?

Edit: Just re-read your post, going to email the CCW unit now. Thanks!

The investigator will schedule you at your interview for the qualification class, at least that is how it was done for me .

you can also do you qual class before your interview if you go with one of the companies the Sheriff allows to do the course. thats what i did and had my qual completed at time of interview.

Hello, I have heard that if you are issued a ccw you are only authorized to carry concealed when it relates to your gc. Does anyone know if this is true or can you carry a all the time? Thank you

If you are issued a standard 2 year licensed you can carry any weapons listed on the license any time you desire. There may be places where you are prohibited from carrying either by law or by your issue agency however.
