Welp I just finished my Live Scan for my CCW and submitted everything My Time Line as follows:

July 2017 Initial Meeting with Department to get CCW Packet
March 28, 2019 was original Interview Date
October 2018 received a call to move my interview date to November 26th 2018
November 18, 2018 Firearms Training Academy Qualifications completion
November 26th CCW Interview completed
December 11th Live Scan Completed at Sheriffs office in Jurupa

Now I am playing the waiting game to hear back from the Sheriffs Department to find out if all went well and I receive my CCW. Lets see what happens!

Full time frame

Early July 2018 - Call for interview, set up for June of 2019

Mid September 2018 - Call to see if any new spots have opened up, given a date of October 31st

October 31st - interview done

November 9th - Live scan started

November 17th - CCW Class and Qualifications

November 21st - Live scan completed and sent back

December 12th - Called to come pick up my card

Words of wisdom - Make sure all of the character letters are signed and make sure you triple check all of your documents prior to interview.

I actually got a call from the Sheriffs department on Friday the 14th asking questions about my file (nothing to crazy) and he said he was going to "Sign off on my File you should receive your license soon everything looks good!" So with that being said, I am just waiting for that call to come pick it up!

Keep it up everyone stay on target and stay on it! My process took roughly 18 months all together, so it does take time. But I hear the process is getting shorter and shorter everyday.

Starting the process

I am about to start the process to get one, but I am confused as to what the CCW class and qual consists of. When I go to the Ben Clark home page all I see that may apply is the PC832 firearms course, is that it?
