Could you post some pics of your off ROOSTER firearms? I'm guessing they are pretty fowl?

My first question is crafting s good cause statement, this has me a bit confused. I understand that self defense is a want and not a need and will not cut it.

Does anyone have a template style letter that I would be able to use in regards to the three letters required? Or what did and didn't work.

Any other suggestions you guys may have?

My current situation is that my job is located in Fontana, I work in a pretty bad part of town between 2:30pm and midnight, I am a swing shift supervisor and during the course of my job I have had three threats made against me. When the police where contacted during each event, they would not come out and take a statement nor record the issue due to no violence had happened. All three threats where made towards myself.

The CCW application lists the requirements of the reference letters. They have a few specific things they want the letter to say, but it's outlined in the application.

Your good cause for threats against you as well as your work hours will likely pass. The lack of police reports is a bit of a hurdle. It will all depend on how you explain your good cause.

          -S&W 6906 9mm, double stack mag, 3 1/2" Barrel, MFG 1989-1999.
          -S&W CS-9 9mm, single stack mag, 3" Barrel, MFG 1999-2005.

These are both Double/Single action, very accurate and extremely reliable. The 3rd gen Smiths are thought to be the best S&W made to date. I am old school and feel more comfortable carrying a Double/Single action rather then a Striker fire action. I also have a Shield, but do not carry it. These are not pics of my Firearms, but mine are in just as good condition.

Also just want to say again Deputy Aquirre and Yezzo do a great job even though heavily over whelmed.

I appreciate all the advice you guys gave me. I got my CCW about two weeks back but my computer was on the fritz. Took about a year, and was 300 and change altogether.

I might be moving to Riverside County from Orange County. Just wanted to chime in on the people talking about 6 guns...yea, you will probably never carry most of what is on your permit.

I have a shield, emp, defender, and usp45c.
99% of the time I carry the shield. 1% of the time, mostly because I like 1911's better, I will carry the defender. My EMP isn't currently on my license. I plan to replace my USP45c or Defender for it. Unless I move to Riverside. Then all of them will be on it.

Two questions I do have, if I already have a CCW from a county next door, how does the process work for applying for a new CCW? Do I have to go through the whole damn thing again or do they just generally accept it? Also, does Riverside allow off roster or modifications to CCW pistols?

Off roster is okay. Mods to lighten the trigger or to safety features are not. Using a spouse's gun is also okay in Riverside. If the gun was purchased via SSE and dual registered (ie 25 acp/9mm, etc) then it will have to be reDROSed to remove the extra caliber. Not positive, but I don't know of any exception that lets you skip from starting the process at the beginning. I think they are booking Sept 2017 appointments.

                          For those who are interested:

Riverside Sheriff Stanley Sniff will be speaking next week to the NRA Member's Council for the Inland Empire on the topic of CCW issuance and his current policies. I would recommend coming early to the meeting, because last time we spoke about ccw issuance in Riverside we filled up the entire room.

NRA MC meetings are held at IVAR (Inland Valley Assoc. of Realtors) 3690 Elizabeth St, Riverside. The meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at 7pm. Meetings are open to current NRA members and invited guests. If you are not an NRA member, you can become a member at the meeting.
