They read him the riot act for not putting it on his application and it held up the process for about a month.

Apply for a CCW, the worst they can do is say no.

I put in my CCW application about two weeks ago, I have decided to sell the pistol I inputted on the application to my step dad. Am I able to change the firearm registered for CCW by my interview date? Will I have any problems doing this?

Yes, just add the firearm that you want too qualify with, and upload it to the site. You can explain that you no longer own the other weapon at the time of the interview.

Vehicle storage. What are you guys using or planning to use for a vehicle lockbox? Ca law requires lockboxes now when forced to leave the weapon in the car. I believe we can store in the cab with a CCW. If that is correct, what would work for say a g17 with an rmr?

                  Ladies and Gents, I apologize if this have been asked and answered before. But due to being an active duty military and being deployed a lot, I didn't have time to apply. After being extended in our deployment, I am finally home and now have time. A few questions;
                  - I have a couple of guns I would like to use but I bought it out of state a few years ago when stationed outside of California. Can I use it for CCW?
                  - I have read that with the current situation, this can be used as a GC? I also am a senior enlisted and does not have a set of time, most of the time I leave to and from work when it is dark or late at night.
                  - can I finish my CCW class before I submit or even while waiting for my application process?

                  Thank you all!

The guns purchased out of state are good to go - If they are registered to you with CADOJ.

I got mine before Bianco, the GC was a little tougher. I'm sure someone with recent experience will be along soon.

I did the class before my original interview and have done them before every renewal interview. I'm pretty sure you'll have to use one of the other trainers besides Ben Clark though. Ben Clark is scheduled after the original interview.

Good luck - Thank you for your service!

                    Jim

I utilize vaultek only because i already had it in my nightstand to keep my handgun out of reach from my kids. Now that i have a larger safe i transfered the vaultek to my car. The fingerprint reader works great for me and allows quick access.

I would strongly suggest finding something with a cable that can secure the box inside your vehicle, for example, a cable that wraps around a seat post.
This way someone cant break a window and steal your locked gun box, where they can take it home and break into it.

For vehicle storage, I've got some no-name lockbox with a dial combo lock. It has a steel cable that wraps around my front passenger seat. Anyone with enough motivation could probably tear the cable through the lockbox itself though.

No CCW yet, but I've used this method for securing certain valuables I didn't want to carry to certain places (wallet, cell phone, etc)

Curious if anyone has recently added more pistols to your CCW? Submitted the modification paperwork on 6/8 and figure with recent events, high influx of applications has created a little delay.
Still beats pre-Bianco days, so just want to know timelines if anyone else is in the similar situation.

                            Thanks!!!

I hate to sound impatient, but obviously anyone awaiting a response from RSO is super eager to hear back... But how long would you say I should wait before I call/email them?

My livescans all finished clearing 3+ weeks ago, and all necessary paperwork was uploaded long before that.

Should I try contacting, or just wait a little longer?

Btw.. I last emailed them June 1
