Ouch. My fiance just applied a few weeks ago, her soonest appointment was mid December. She and I check back daily, she was able to move her interview slot up 8 whopping days sooner!

As the others mentioned, you won't lose your spot of you look into rescheduling. Check back frequently and hope you catch a slot from someone who cancelled

      Hello everyone,

Once you get the approval and complete the final payment, do you have to wait for date to pick up your permit or do just show up?

You should have received an email and phone call informing you to pick it up.

        Pick up is Tues-Fri 7:30AM-2:30PM.

Just show up between that time. Expect to wait because they also do interviews during that time.

I believe that will happen once your payment is verified. I also sent an email to mt BI at the time with a payment confirmation that he requested.

          Hope that helps....

After final payment, it took maybe 4-5 hours for them to say everything was good to go and come in to pick the thing up.

But after I paid, I sent an email to my investigator and also called and left a VM

                  Approved!

                  Here is my timeline:

                  Online Application Submission: 2/26/2020
Interview @ BCTC (In person): 3/17/2020
                  Livescan (RSO Thermal Station) 3/30/2020
                  Livescan Status (FBI Completed) 3/30/2020
                  Livescan Status (CA Completed) 3/30/2020
                  Livescan Status (Firearms Completed) 4/17/2020
                  Training and Qualifications Completed: 5/2/2020
                  Approval Message Notification: 8/6/2020

If you are wondering why the gap is so long between May and approval; it's because I was asked to submit some information that took me awhile to gather. I also had lots of other stuff going during this period, so the CCW tasks were not at the top of my list. The CCW unit wasn't "dragging their feet", it was all me! Once I submitted the requested information (from May), I was approved within hours.

If by "citations" you mean traffic tickets, those can "usually" be looked up at the county court website (dependent on the county you got it in) by entering your DL info. For example if you are looking for information about a citation you received in Riverside County, you would go here: http://public-access.riverside.court...alMainMenu.asp

                              I think it costs $2

I had one that I couldn't remember the citation number but I did put in the location and year it happened. They know what you have. During the interview they'll have your record in front of them on the screen. I think they're trying to see if you'll be honest about it.

That being said, it is best to have the info listed of course.
