This is the last issue I've seen posted in the past month or so. I am hearing of renewals getting done though, so my take is they are working getting the renewals done since they are expiring, and not processing new apps.

If we don't see some pickup dates for new apps in the next few weeks then there could be cause to wonder if there's been a change in processing criteria.

What I find odd is that the number of renewals isn't any greater than what they put through back when they were issued, and supposedly more staff was added to handle the backlog. So why they would be way overwhelmed now doesn't make sense to me. So who knows, right?

We do have a lot of renewal posts in here, would be nice to keep them over on the other thread. <shrug>

Keeping our fingers crossed for the new applicants here. My hope is we'll see some of them start coming through soon enough.

So I just got an email that I missed my appointment today for issuance. The thing is I never got an email to come in to pick up. It's bitter sweet. I'm pissed that I could have picked up today, but glad that I'll be able to shortly. Keep the faith alive boys.

Congrats! They continue to renew and issue new permits!

Same thing happened to me when I first got my permit.

I just called them up and they rescheduled me for the following day.

Update...

Heard back in Late May that my DOJ/FBI Live Scan showed up for them.

It was then placed on the Captains desk for approval.

Called last week and was told that I was approved by admin and I now will be hearing back from the appointment department to schedule my pick up.

They mentioned that they are going through a staff change and that it would be a couple weeks before I heard anything about a pickup appointment.

So we'll wait some more.

As noted in another post, the section that handles CCW got a new captain a couple months ago. No doubt he's feeling his way around and making some changes. Let's hope he doesn't make any changes that will affect us in a negative way.

Need an opinion, guys. We had our residency check 2 days ago but they came back today to check again. No one was home except for my aunt that isn't all there mentally and she thought the officer was a solicitor and told him that we weren't home and didn't live there so that he'd leave. I was upset to say the least. Should I email my interviewer or just see if they come back?

Funny thing... no sooner after I made a post about it taking a while, I received an appointment email. The wait is over and there is an end in sight.

That's great news! Congrats! I had everything completely done including Livescan when I went for my appointment. I called a week ago and the friendly lady who answered the phone said its been submitted for approval. My interview date was 05/24/2016. Residency check was 06/06/2016. I am optimistic that I will get the email soon.

Ouch!

Not sure why they came back a second time unless you weren't there the first time or they didn't believe you.

Yeah, I would call and explain. Heck, invite them in to see your room if need be. Some may scoff at that, but Auntie didn't do you any favors and you've got ground to make up.
