No, you are not lucky. DOJ is actually speed up on Firearms. 35 days from what I see on other people.

The reason I ask is I have been reading about 3 months for firearms result. Yours were less than 30 day and got me confuse thinking you might post the wrong date. Until I see another result today on firearms in 35 days. hope others can use this update on firearms part.

I originally had an interview date of November 30 then I got an email that it had been advanced to September 29 so don't get too down about how far out it is.
The "slippery slope" is not a fallacy; it is a strategy.

It would probably be a good idea to schedule and complete your training. At the end of your interview (which hopefully is moved up) they'll ask you to submit your training certificate of completion within 3 weeks of your interview date. That's the last piece of information prior to issuance of your license.

If you have already completed training and uploaded the certificate prior to the interview date you should receive your approval in less than a week after your interview.

How long is the training cert good for? I'd hate to do it and I'm still waiting in limbo for it to even be assigned

                  Thanks

When did you apply and submit your livescam?

Last I read it was 6 months.

I was told that the training certificate is good for 6 months, so your February 2023 interview date is within that time frame.

The "progress meter" on the OCSD website doesn't actually move incrementally, it stays at the beginning level all the way through the requested docs, interview process, etc. After everything is submitted (all your docs, Livescan, photo) and your interview has been done, at that point a supervisor (assigned) looks it all over and the license is approved.

Once I received the text message indicating I was approved I logged in to my account and the screen you are seeing now with the progress meter, history of the files you've uploaded and any messages they've sent to you is now gone. All I see now is the Order Number (soon to be your license number), Shipping Type, Email Address, Requested Documents (now says New Standard 2 Year CCW License and Total Charge: $169.00. That's it.

a buddy referred me down the street to elite ccw firearms & training in fountain valley, and they had an opening for the one day in class tomorrow so signed up.

IA must make a determination within 90 days of the CCW application filing or 30 days after the CADOJ clearance, whichever is later. He (she?) will get a response by 11/4/2022

The new bill extends it to 120 days
