CCW renewal 5 months
I submitted my renewal 2 months ago. Online status it still says waiting to be assigned to a processor.
Emailed and they said the current time for renewal is 5 months.
I guess CCWs are not a high priority.Comment

It does not seem to be than any of the So Cal counties I monitor have really done a great job anticipating the effect of the rush of renewals that inevitably follows 2 years after loosing restrictions. Basic math says that if your department can process X new applications per month, and assuming it takes roughly half as much staff time to process a renewal as a new application, the maximum number of valid permits you can have in your county at any time is 48X. At that point, all available processing capacity is taken up by processing renewals, and there is no available time to process any new applications.I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

I have been reading through a lot and used the search function and can not find the answer.
I currently live in Long Beach but we are looking to move to OC within the next 2-4 months (frankly we can't stand LA county anymore). With that said
Would you recommend I wait to apply in OC until I move or apply now in LA county?
Gut tells me to wait for OC for several reasons but any thoughts are appreciated.Comment
