I got my interview done on 9/30 and had all the necessary paperwork uploaded, but still waiting. They said mine was in the final review process a few weeks ago. They did say that they are backed up due to COVID.

I notice the OCSD application page says that "information contained in this application may be a matter of public record" - curious if anyone got a sense of what that really means in your interview?

I don't think there's a public database of CCW holders . . . maybe that means someone could request such a list with a Freedom of Information Act request or something?

@Yodaman, thanks, that makes sense. I came across this story from 2013 so during Sheriff Hutchens time and from this it sounds like it's up to the sheriff to decide exactly how to respond to any such request. In this case she provided names but not city of residence etc.

Interesting as in most other states, this data is definitely not public record.

Submitted application today (12/11) and first available date was June 8! Uploaded everything except LiveScan so hoping I get bumped up to an earlier appointment.

For those who have recently been approved, how long was your good cause statement? Just curious how much detail OCSD is expecting. I was thinking maybe a few paragraphs, maybe up to a full page, plus some supporting documentation . . . is that around the right level of detail?

Has anyone Cerakoted and added an optic then amended their card or similar?

Two questions:

1. If the frame and slide were two different colors, what was put down on the certificate by the trainer?

2. Does it say any of the upgrades on your card or just the certificate that was turned in for their records?
