Except if said vehicle is on post office property (e.g. their parking lot).

Seriously? A locked firearm is not legal in a parking lot? Really?

Well, that's a new one on me!

I never thought an unloaded and legally locked firearm was 'carrying'. It's not even concealed, it's disabled and locked.
Oh well, if you say so. I don't go to either with a firearm so I'm good.

What about the OCSD parking garage? That was the question at hand.

I've locked (in a permanently attached lockbox) and hidden it from view in my vehicle when I've visited the OCSD as well as the FVPD.

At the FVSD, I told them that I purposely didn't carry and the gentleman there said that it was probably a good idea because "it wouldn't be worth the hassle". Based on what he said and how he said it, it appears that there is no rule against it there. I don't know how it would be a "hassle" since concealed means concealed, coupled with the fact that there were no magnetometers that I encountered.

Is there a link to a list of approved ammo you are allowed to use when you carry with a CCW in OC?

If you can legally purchase the Ammo in California, you can use it in your CCW firearm in OC.

Thanks. I thought in my CCW class they said there was a list that was constantly changing. I'll circle back around with them and let you know if I hear anything different

There very well could be, but at the state level.

I'm not aware of any requirements on type of ammo, as long as it works in the weapons listed on your permit.
