This is just hearsay, but I've heard on here that people who receive their PTT are almost guaranteed to receive their permit. Unless, I'm assuming, you do something that would ruin it between now and when they issue permit.

Haven?t received my confirmation that they got my training info but it?s also only been a day. Hoping it?s quick after this but I?ve also seen others waiting 3-4+ was after training completion.

It will be almost two months next week that I sent my training docs over. No confirmation email. They apparently don't give you a response anymore from what I've gathered these past few months.

you don't have a choice, you must apply to Glendale first and be rejected, before you can submit to LASD.

Submitted LASD 1st time new application through the online process, a few months ago i was prepping the manual form but was lazy, online it had me select an interview date and earliest was March, 2024.. seeing some folks waited a year for interview seems OK.

anyone know of any good renewal training classes close to sgv? I been contacting those on the list and they all seem to want me to take their 8 hour class when 4 is the requirement. thanks in advance

when i went in for the interview, deputy said earliest is 90days to hear back. if its past 90days contact ccw unit. be patient you still got some time.

90 days from training complete? That doesn?t seem correct to me. At my interview he said 3 months after interview (which matches your 90 days) is earliest one would hear back after the interview regarding proceed to training.

My interviewing deputy said the whole process will take 5 months. I had my interview back in March so I'm hoping my call for pick up will be sometime this month. Although someone mentioned they are doing construction at Sherman Block so not sure if all pick-ups are on hold. Haven't seen anyone update their timeline for their license pick up in awhile.

Reapply as soon as you can. I took a chance did it online with only 10 days left of my permit before expired. I got a second chance and a second interview 4 days after my permit Expires. I stated everything and now I need submit my proceed with training requirements and wait to be issued.

good morning all. new member here (you can notice with the post count).

just wanting to check in with you all - i applied quite late post-Bruen (stupid me!). am wondering what is the current timeline when getting a call for the interview? (reading through the thread shows that LASD shifted to online already)

• 8/26/22 - Sent application to LASD via email
• 9/3/22 - Confirmed with USPS that the application got lost and they had to track it
• 9/12/22 - Confirmed by USPS that the application was received by LASD
• 10/10/22 - Checked cash

is there a way to check my current status with LASD? phone? email?
also, considering that it is nearing the prior average of 1-year, are there recommendations on what i need to do in the meantime?
